Started playing Batman Arkham City again after being able to activate my retail CD key on Steam. I’m thinking of getting Arkham Asylum after this and will probably get Arkham Origins sometime later.
Skyrim. I learned how to use the creation kit.
I started out just wanting to reskin a bow to use a model I liked, but it turned out to be easier to use the CK than I thought, so I also made it disintegrate people on death.
Played some more Metro LL and beat the first level in Typing of the Dead: Overkill.
Pokemans! I’m finally playing White. I preordered it back in the day, and just now I’m getting back to it. I can’t believe it’s been so long, feels like yesterday when I woke up early to go pick it up from the store and got a free cap
Played some Alice:Madness Returns. Quite fun.
The combat is both clunky and fluid at the same time. But the animations, the levels, the dialogue/story is all top notch. So glad I got it on sale.
I need to buy Deponia. I pre-ordered the final game in the trilogy, which subsquently gave me the 2nd for free. Just need to buy the original LOL
Played some more Batman Arkham City. Was playing some Riddler’s Revenge challenges on maps I manged to unlock.
I’ve been playing through F.E.A.R. lately. I didn’t like it all that much to begin with but it’s starting to grow on me. Fucking Heavy Armors and Powered Armors…
Try playing it on extreme difficulty without slomo.
regular soldiers
The Missing Link portion of Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director’s Cut is taking forever to work my way through. I was enjoying the hell out of it before I had to cross these three security checkpoints three times each, and they always play an unskippable animation that I didn’t enjoy the first time through one of them. And then a bunch of soldiers spawned in after I had cleared the area, twice.
I will be glad to get back to the main game soon. I’m almost at the boss battle.
__
Copied that from another forum just before finishing that part of the game. The boss battle was just clearing out a room of soldiers with their leader in a shack at the end, and I dispatched him with 1 button ease. Back to the main game,[COLOR=‘Black’] and finding the lost scientists.
Hawken. They’ve optimized it, and the game runs a lot a faster now. The HUD and UI are also newly spiffy, though I disagree with having the health and fuel bars being a normal HUD element and not built into the cockpit.
Really, what’s wrong with diagetic mech cockpit HUDs?
Was playing Assassin’s Creed earlier and it decided to crash just as I was thinking about playing something else. It saved me from that ridiculously long exit process.
I think they might have done this to make the UI work better with the Oculus Rift - though I don’t see why they couldn’t also have gauges built into the cockpit for people without a 'Rift (like me)
Fallout 3. Got around to playing all the DLC for the first time ever.
Prison Architect.
So my first prison was a bust, but I took the lessons I learned from that and designed (and am now building) a much better one.
Also, I found out that it has a similar exploit to Evil Genius; if you have the continuous inflow option turned off, you get to decide when prisoners come in - you can turn it off before any arrive to build the prison, worry free- then sit back and wait while the grant money comes in each day at midnight. It’s not as efficient as Evil Genius’s method, especially since you have to pay wages for any staff you have employed, but as long as you’ve got under 5 workmen and nothing else, you can still make some slow, but easy, cash.
Gonna make sure I can afford the basics plus my exostructure before I load up on inmates.
I don’t know how far I am in Metro LL. It’s pretty fun. I almost couldn’t complete a section though because I hardly had any ammo and one hit from an enemy would cause my mask to break.
Black Mesa.
I really want to play this with the Oculus Rift
A bit of borderlands before I uninstalled it. Don’t know what it is, but the graphics mess with my eyes so hard. Tried all the settings and tweaks and I just can’t focus properly and it gives me a headache.
Maybe it’s the field of view. Have you tried widening it up to 90 degrees?
Both Borderlands games make me sick as well, my brain doesn’t do too well with figuring out cellshaded 3D.
Try building a double wall with a moat between, and outside. I want to hear how effective that is
Oh. Where is the setting for that? I couldn’t find it. QQ.
Maybe that’s it. Whatever it is, urgh. I’m not amazing at FPS as it is, but my head just physically aches watching the game. I was only 10-15 minutes in when I first started before I decided it was too much.
3 seperate attempts later I raised my time to like 1 hr max. Sad because I kinda liked it as a game.
