"We serve the same mystery"

I’ve finally finished Episode 2.
WOW
The ending is really cool, I can’t wait for ep.3. I think the HL series has the best replay value of any other game I’ve played. That’s why I will play the games again, both to solidify my knowledge and warming up for Episode 3.

Oh, what are some good single player mods for hl2?

There’s basically tens of good mods, most of them you can find on Mod DB.

For example Nightmare House 2 is very good if you like horror-games.

Wow, quite a lot of 'em

Here’s a good place to start.

a good mod single player that I liked is human error. You’re a civil protection officer fighting against Xenians (yeah, Xenians: Alien grunts, alien controllers and vortigaunts) and rebels.

I’ve installed Nightmare House 1 and Minerva for now. They both look interesting.

One thing bothers me. SPOILERSPOILERSPOILER
When the vorts save Alyx and Gman takes that opportunity to talk to you/her, he says to Alyx to tell her father (Eli) “Prepare for unforseen consequences” while he was near the rocket. Now, as you know, the rocket launched well, the super portal is destroyed, everyone is happy(well, almost, as Eli dies). So, was there an “unforseen consequence” I’ve missed or it will appear on EP3/future Half Life games(maybe something related to Borealis)? Oh, and let me get one thing straight. Is Lammar dead?

I don’t believe he was planning to die, so yeah…

I want to apologise in advance for asking this on an unrelated thread(and my PS3 browser can’t let me create a thread)… BUT can someone explain why the price for the PS3 Orange Box went up to 26 dollars? I saw the price jump at gamestop since valve stated they were going to start developing on the platform at E3. Soo do you think The Orange Box (PS3) will get the steam cloud treatment like Portal 2 will? It seems kinda fishy to me that something would go up by a significant margin and not have anything special planned for it.

If it’s too much for you to pay 5.2 $ for a game, you should be ashamed.

No, that isn’t the problem. I just want to know why its price rose to that amount when its cheaper to get the PC version new. I have an idea that they know whats planned for it (steamcloud basically) and rose the price right under peoples noses. Such a theory is hardly far fetched, happens all the time as a cheap marketing trick. Just in case if this is true, I called it.

I say it’s just GameStop being assholes. They know that people will be rushing to buy the Orange Box now that Portal 2 is going to PS3, so they’re scaling up the price so they can make as much money as they can off the increased demand.

It’s good business sense, I’ll give em that, but grr.

I doubt it.

she is just in the combine dimension. Or well, she is if the rocket did not explode when arriving there.

The rocket didn’t actually go to the portal, it just activated a satellite that disabled it, or something along those lines.

My 2 cents for a section in ep.3

After Eli’s burial Dr. kliner freaks out and demands Alyx & Gordon to go on a near suicide mission to go save Lamar (which happens to land in one of the last combine bases. You go in, kick ass awsome new gameplay element added while there take Lamar back to Dr. Kliner & venture off to the rest of the endeavor (hopefully we get to squish some potato advisor pricks to get even for Eli too!)

lol.

Lamarr died. Fanboys deal with it.

He will have his return in glory, just you wait.

FTFY

Lamarr didn’t die.

When she went up into the portal storm, she was transported into a growth chamber being worked on by the Combine.

You will meet her again at the end of Episode Three, where she is the size of the Gene Worm…as the final boss.

I think G-Man is talking about the borealis.
