Your first videogame (not arcade)

Sonic 2 is the best of the sonic series, I had it on genesis.

The first video game I owned was Super Mario Brothers.

The first home video game I played (at a friends house) was an Atari game. I forgot the name of it, but it was a maze where you and your opponent work thru the maze to the other side. I have found some sites call it “Gotcha” and other sites call it “The Amazing Maze”… but it WAS a game that was played at home and not in the arcade.

And believe me… I was such a noob at 4… did more dying that shooting…

my first game was either jazz jackrabbit or sonic 3 and knuckles i remember going to play the 8 bit version of sonic 2 and being annoyed that you couldnt spin dash

Beat me to it. Was gonna say Telestar.

I have a vague recollection playing that, but aside from my initial space invaders memory it’s pretty hazy…

I totally PWND at Chip’s Challenge tho.

I guess it would have to be Star Wars - Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight. F**kin’ awesome game. Wish Vista would allow me to play it again, though.

I’m 17 and my first console was a C64

my first was… Settlers 1 on my Amiga 1200. But the first game tat realy captivated me was Super Frog. The Mario a-like game on the Amiga. It wass super funny. oh. And i am 26…

This guy right here:

I was barely old enough to play it.

Atari 2600 in the 70’s - Space invaders

Manic Miner in the 80’s

gta4 herp derp

Mazogs on the ZX81

Probably a game called Atic Atac on the ZX Spectrum. It was awesome, even if I was a little young to really understand it!

My first videogame that I played was one of four, I can’t remember which came first…

It was either Doom, Quake, Half-Life, or Unreal.

The first videogame that I OWNED was Turok: Dinosaur Hunter.

Street of Fucking Rage, I’m the real oldfag here bitch.

Streets of rage is the shit, 2 is my favorite

YOU feel old?
I just now remembered that one of my uncles had Pong and I got to play it with my cousins one time. This had to have been at least a couple years before the Atari 2600 came out.
I always wanted a Coleco-vision when I was younger, but had to settle for the Atari :frowning:
[insert crazy old-person figure of speech]

Oh who am I kidding… I STILL want a Coleco-Vision…

I really don’t remember…before my DOS computer, we had a green screen with a few game floppies (the huge ass ones). There were a few games like the original Snake, Pong, and some game with banana-chucking gorillas.

my mother’s first game was the original breakout.
