Your first videogame (not arcade)

So, I’m interested in knowing what everyone’s FIRST video game was…and how old you were. Like I mentioned in the title however, arcade machines do not count…unless it was a port to a home console.

IDK but I may be unique, my first video game was the classic Sierra action/adventure game Space Quest. I was 1 year old when it was released and I remember sitting at my father’s “swan” computer playing the series with my older bother. When I was finally old enough to actually use the keyboard and play on my own, I was so young he had to make me cheat sheets with all the specific commands to get through the game (If you ever played those classic sierra games, you know the commands can be a little picky). I grew up with the entire series…I was 10 when SQ6 was released and was devastated when they canceled SQ7. I feel I was lucky to have grown up during the adventure gaming era, they are perfect for that age.

In addition the the SQ series, I also played The Colonel’s Bequest, another sierra adventure game…I still remember getting “super sleuth” for the first time. I also had an NES, but my roots are on the PC.

So…what about you?

halo

wow…I was not expecting the first reply to be that.

How old are you lol?

My first video game was Pokemon Blue.

Either GTA2 or Fifa '98, both were played by my brother around the same time. I loved both dearly. I haven’t played Fifa '98 in forever, but I enjoy playing the newer Fifas against friends and consider that GTA 2 is the best free game in existence. (Until BMS is released, of course)

i don’t like video games that much

wait what

Super Mario World from SMAS + Super Mario World =)

Ah GTA1 and 2, now those bring back memories…GOURANGA

Fair enough. When did you get into HL?

Super Mario Bros’ - NES

Either Chips Challenge or SkiFree, I can’t remember :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, incase you didn’t notice, my dads PC had the Microsoft games pack on it  What a coincidence Rossman posted before me, I never escaped the yeti in SkiFree… :frowning:

Super mario bros. 3

When I was 3, I played the first Diablo. Then I didn’t play video games for 5 years. When I was 8, I tried Age of Empires. I’ve played games ever since then.

Goldeneye 64

First game I played (and most likely the first game I saw, but I can’t remember back that far) was Super Mario World.

I think it was Prince of persia on the IBM 286
back in the early 90’s

C&C Tiberian Sun

My first FPS was Star Wars Jedi Outcast, and my first RPG was KotOR.

Ah, you never do forget your first :stuck_out_tongue:

My first game was StarFox for the SNES. I spent hours on end trying to beat that game. When I finally did, it was one of the best feelings ever.

I do believe it was Spyro the Dragon.
