Your first videogame (not arcade)

not entirely sure what my first game was, but my first FPS was Heretic.

hahaha I remeber when UT99 came out and I was all like “Wow! It looks so realistic!”

Golden Eye for the N64.

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 on the Sega Genesis when I was 6 years old, around when it first came out. I didn’t really get into games 'til I was 7, and new video games were my thing when Half-Life came out when I was 8.

Banjo-Kazooie for the N64. Goddamn that game kicked ass.

Crash Bandicoot or Spyro the Dragon.

Super Mario World on the SNES

Best UT for Deathmatch needs.

First game was some shoot-em-up game for DOS I forgot the name of.

Second game was Command & Conquer Gold.

Half-life

Myst… oops…almost forgot about Star raiders on my first (pc?) Atari 410…Plastic keyboard cover and all…

Some Beauty & the Beast game when I was 11 or so. Was on the class’ computer… It was protected by a password, but the daughter of the teacher as in my class, and she knew the password.

Making pies by positioning sponges and broomsticks etc so the eggs could roll down a perfect path into the bowl. Good times, good times.

Pandemonium for PS1 :stuck_out_tongue:

Okay, let me thing…

…the farthest I can go back to is Super Mario Bros., but I’m sure I played a few before that. It was a veeeeeeery long time ago.

I remember Frogger, some airplane sidescroller where the executable was called fluge.exe, Tetris, and there were a couple others which I cannot recall anything about, all of these were on the family 386. My memory is fuzzy, as I was 9 when I first really started using the computer on my own. I did also have a Sega Genesis, with maybe 6 games - I actually hooked it up to my LCD TV recently and played some oldschool games. It also might have been Oregon Trail in grade school, I don’t remember…

I played Wolfenstein 3D before Doom came out, I believe both before we even got our first Pentium system, which would mean I was still running a 486 DX2 80MHz back then. I later got the 486 when my family got a Pentium system, before getting my own Pentium II 266MHz system and a TNT2 Ultra with 32MB RAM…which gave me the ability to run insanely high resolutions in my games like Quake II…probably could even run 1280x1024 on that badass system…

I had a TNT 2 in my computer until 2004. <.<

First game I played on the PC was Doom when I was 4 or 5. First game I played on my own PC was Age of Empires (was 7 at that point, had it installed already once I got it). First console game I believe was either Sonic or Mario Brothers.

Offtopic - No idea if this is true, but

“On June 23, 2009, ZeniMax Media, best known for Bethesda Softworks, acquired id Software and announced that all future id Software games will be published by Bethesda Softworks, Doom 4 being one (in addition to Rage and future Quake titles).”

True or False?

The farthest I can remember back to is playing Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
First pc game was Sponegbob Squarepants: Employee of the Month.

True. Old news is old.

Right, cool, I dont keep up with anything other than Valve usually.

My first game(s) were the Mario/Dunk Hunt combo on regular Nintendo, Tetras and Zelda.

I don’t remember. It was a DOS-game from the early 90’s though.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
