My first side-scroller was some java game online.
Technically, my first RPG was WoW, and my first FPS was halo (stereotypes anyone?)
but in both cases I hated them so much I uninstalled them, stamped up and down on them, and threw away the remains within 30 minutes.

I did not play it as soon as it came out. It had already been out for a while when I did play.
