First game = TF2, May 2008.
My first Steam games were Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike Source, Codename: Gordon, and HL2: Deathmatch which I think I received all at the same time when I bought HL2 with an ATI 9800pro in 2004.
It was the beginning of 2004, when I picked up a dust-covered jewel case for Blue Shift, that my brother had purchased for my birthday.
I proceeded to get on my Steam account, and noticed that I could type in my cd key for registration. I did so, and was rewarded with Half-Life, Half-Life: Opposing Force, Half-Life: Blue Shift, Counterstrike, Day of Defeat, Team Fortress Classic, Deathmatch Classic, and Ricochet.
Later on, I used an NVidia special offer to obtain Half-Life 2: Lost Coast and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch.
Then I purchased The Orange Box and Garry’s Mod + Counterstrike: Source, on sale.
HL1, part of a ‘3 for £10’ deal many, many years ago. Long before I started using steam
cs 1.6 duh.
Condition Zero + the entire back catalog all the way back in April, 2004.
duh?
This, and although it was bought in early 2005, i didn’t finish HL2 until Sep 2007, as the comp we had before couldn’t handle the weapon disintegration scene near the end of the game :[
It was one of the first if not the first game available on steam when it was still beta.
Oh right.
got HL 2 DM for free and lost cost (also free), witch them made me spend 40 dollars at the summer steam sale
Lost coast, counter strike came on disk
Half-Life 2 GOTY. Came with Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch and Half-Life: Source. I think I registered my copy of Half-Life the same day, giving me every Goldsrc game with it.
Around 2005.
I got Half-Life long before Steam existed, but the first games I bought after Steam came out were Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike Source. Around 2004/5 was that.
The CS 1.6 beta, with the first beta of steam. My steam account that I use today was created on December 10, 2003.
Left 4 Dead 2. A few weeks ago. From a retailer.
CS:S in Mars 2007.
Mars, you say!?
My first Steam game was HL2/CS:S/HL2 M in 2004
Got it retail, popped it in, installed it, and got Steam, which at the time made me FUUUUUUUUUUUU- like no other.
Back in 2004 i used to login with my cousin’s account on steam and play CSS and HL2.
But the first game i bought was Orange Box, this year, cause i missed playing HL2 and i wanted to play ep 1 and 2, and i found out that Portal was actually a great game as a bonus =D
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
