Your First Steam Game(s)

Orange box. Best 50 bucks I’ve spent in my life.

I bought Half-Life 2 in November 05 (I remember because it was exsactly a year after it came out). Due to a lack of internet connection it wasn’t registered to steam until May 06. That whole year of waiting was a bitch…

I remember buying far cry and Dark messiah… Don’t remember in what order.

This, exactly. Then my friend gifted me HL2. And I got HL2DM from the ATI offer. So those were my first 3 Steam games.

My first steam game was Left 4 Dead retail, The first one i acquired via steam was The Orange Box

Orange Box retail, which introduced me to Steam, VALVe, and PC Gaming
Best $40 I’ve ever spent
The first thru-Steam purchase was Garry’s Mod

I pre purchased Half-Life 2. Steam was a pile of garbage back in those days. But now Steam has come very far…

Not really…

ok so it has improved a bit

My first steam game was Half-Life Anthology in '07. It was shortly followed by the Orange Box. Half-Life was my first fps and the first game to really spark my interest in gaming.

I also bought HL1 Anthology before Orange Box. [COLOR=‘Black’]Confession: I still haven’t beaten Half-Life 1… :fffuuu:

First steam game was HL2, but I played HL1 on WON before that.

My first game ever was Half life 2. After i beat that then i got hooked on steam games!

Half-Life 2 Collector’s Edition.

Half-Life 1. Had it from retail before Steam launch, then got it registered into Steam when the whole launching with CS 1.6 and all that happened.

Steam used to suck major balls back then hahah. I remember all the rage because WON was getting shut down and everyone had to play on Steam now… shit kept crashing every 2 hours

Forgot to mention… first Steam-bought game was Half-Life 2 a few months (six or so) after release date.

I bough HL2 Retail the day it came out… then discovered steam that day… it wasn’t a good day because of it. I had dial up at the time, but man, when it was all said and done… HL2 blew me away back in Nov. 2004.

My first games at Steam was CS back in December 2004. 12 days later I got Half Life 2 Collector’s Edition as a Christmas present and it turned out to be the best game I’ve ever played.

My first Steam game was Half life 2 :stuck_out_tongue:

GET THE FUCK OUT!!!:fffuuu::fffuuu::fffuuu:

He bought a more commercially advertised game then hl2, that also happens to be a good game well polished, fairly replayable depending on the person, that had free updates. And proceeded to be a Valve fan, and you found something to dislike?

Half-Life 2, Half-Life Source and CS: S. My first STEAM game was the Half-Life Collector’s Edition

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
