I got a 34MB patch earlier, don’t know what it added or changed. Can’t find patch notes anywhere.
EDIT:
MSAA still causes black outlines on certain objects

Hey is there no steam first time setup for this game?.. It just launches straight into the game?
I don’t know if there is or not but some games have files that should do that but don’t. I would look in the Steam folder for a redist folder and if there’s one in there run the stuff in it.
I think it’s supposed to install the DirectX June 2010 and Visual C++ 2010 redistributables (maybe Visual C++ 2008 as well)
You should be able to find them in the “_CommonRedist” folder under your W:TNO install directory.
Okay, so I got this game during the Steam sale and started playing it for my livestream. HOLY SHIT THIS GAME IS GOOD. Wow. Jaw on the floor.
Computer, why suck you must? T_T
You know that if you kill commanders silently nobody will be able to activate the alarm and you’ll have to deal with less soldiers? I watched about half an hour of your stream so I don’t know if you actually realise it later.
Oh yeah, I do that too. Shooting people is just too fun though.
The gun play is pretty badass in this game haha I accidentally put my whole review on this in the What Game Did You Play Today thread.
“44 God damned gigabytes. Totally ridiculous. Gonna to take all fucking night!”
I remember when a couple megabytes was “going to take all night”.
Damn kids!
I remember when 1GB was a huge game.
I remember when I used floppy disks to patch my games.
I remember when we used to play pong with rocks
I remember when we used to play asteroids with rocks. It was pretty realistic.
I remember when my computer struggled to run Half-Life 1.
…No, that was like three years ago.
If there’s one thing idtech has down it’s the enemies’ reactions to getting shot. It was great in Rage and it’s great in this game.
And the performance hit I get during cutscenes seems to start if I set the “quality” option to high or ultra. On medium the framerate is fine pretty much the entire time. So something is enabled on high that kills performance. Wonder if someone will find what it is. Some of the console commands are locked too which doesn’t make it easy.
You can bypass the lock on some of them by using them together with the cvarrandom command, e.g.:
cvarrandom r_skippostprocess 1 1
Replace “r_skippostprocess” with whatever cvar you’re trying to alter (some have to be set when the game starts or require a renderer restart to apply correctly).
I think the numbers after the command define the range of random numbers the cvar might be set to - “1 1” is only 1, “0 0” is only 0, “0 100” might be a number in the range of 0 - 100

Hmmmm…did I see what I think I saw? I think I saw what I think I saw.
What do you guys think? I think it’s nice. A stand alone prequel, based off of Castle Wolfenstein. I wonder if it’ll be a total remake of the 2002(?) game, or if it’s a new story all on its own. I kinda hope for a mix, but just from what’s ahown, it isn’t looking like it’ll be like RTCW, but a little more story friendly to TNO and more realistically founded (as realistic as super nazi’s are anyways.)
Course, I still want to know if he’s gone Bethesda you whores of Hell and its demon spawn.
Pffff, he’s not gone.
It’s going to take more than just a point-blank frag grenade and a nuclear cannon to stop that guy.
