Wolfenstein: The New World Order

i find it odd how the nazi referee just went and killed the brazilian player who injured the german football player, the brazilians embraced Friedrich Nietzsche’s philosophy as do the nazis and the nazis quite ironically admire displays of superiority, if anything, the ref should’ve shot the injured guy, to stay historically accurate of course; now there is the possibility that that brazilian injurer could be jewish, but no evidence exists

You’d think that in the context of the game, they’d already wiped all jews from the earth, no?

He actually has something of a point, though; IIRC Brazil was sympathetic to the Nazis.

When you control the world, I think there’s very little saying you can’t shoot someone that doesn’t genetically conform to your standards. So the nazi shooting the Brazilian soccer player isn’t that far fetched.

well if thats the case, then the nazis might as well be holocausting the japs and italians as well

or even the spanish/portugese (whom they were neutral with during the war)

saying that nazis would want to directly commit genocide to non-jew,slav,or blacks is like saying the KKK wanted persuade congress into nuking mexico or the rest of south america

even hitler stated in his Political Testament that “They [the Chinese and Japanese specifically] have a right to be proud about their civilization, just as we do with ours”
he even wrote more about his admiration for japanese in mein kampf
Himmler also popularized the race theory that japs were “aryans of the east” or possessed some sort of similar qualities with german-nordic blood; and being the occultist he is, drew many inspirations from east asian religion when molding the nazi ideology (the swastika, as everyone [should] know is a good luck symbol that had its roots in many asian religions)

Seeing as how hitler was killed in wolf3d (which they are considering for the story), the nazis may not have the same exact ideals

what is to say they mechahitler may NOT appear in the new wolfenstein game CHUCK FULL of mechs?

for all i know dethshead is probally poster villian and hitler and/or black sun realm remains behind the shadows

I never said getting shot was the same as being the target of a holocaust. I simply said that the standards may have made it an easy decision to simply shoot the non-aryan player that had hurt the aryan one.

The Nazis are evil, m’kay?

Man, now wonder BJ is all screwed up. If his memory is a 3D adventure from the 90’s, he’s probably suffering quite a lot at his poor (graphically) past.

They’ve shown Himmler at the end of RTCW, with the fuhrer mentioned.

Actually the KKK I don’t think was ever too happy with Messicans either. Generally people who have some racial bias have a racial bias towards any race that they can’t closely associate with.

Regardless, I don’t find it weird at all. Very rarely does a powerful totalitarian structure actually adhere closely to its core philosophies. Often times, a national or other group philosophy (such as religion), is just a flexible tool wielded to justify personal interests. So whether or not killing the Brazilian player is truly consistent with Nazi philosophy isn’t particularly relevant, as Nazi philosophy, or most philosophy, is bent at will to justify personal actions.

RTCW base alarm sound

gunplay actually reminds me of FEAR just a bit

is it just me or does the gameplay look super generic?

The movement seems a bit slow

i always did wonder how those thompsons, stg44’s and lugers look slightly steam-punked during 1946

The amount of authenticity you guys are expecting from fucking silly ass Wolfenstein is beginning to astound me.

the tutorial level looks hand holdy? yeah.

Yeah seriously, it’s the first level during the war when the nazi’s somehow got advanced tech.

I really don’t see how it looks generic gameplay-wise, unless for some reason you were expecting some sort of genre bending open world nazi killing game
