I got a Cease and desist notice because I dl’ed a cracked EXE of C&C Renegade for my laptop because I didn’t want to buy another copy to play lan on it
Played a little more of Bioshock Infinite: Burial at Sea Ep. 1. The 1999 difficulty mode is really slowing me down, but I’ll beat it soon.
Edit: Also got the Humble Bundle today. I already redeemed the FEAR trilogy (with FEAR 1 DLC) and Batman Arkham Asylum.
Beat ME2. Woah o.o I need to get ME3…I hate being broke.
What, did the terminator boss actually impress you?
Or just the scene where you use the upgraded gun to blap that collector ship? I loved that scene. I was so agitated about having bought that upgrade only to never use it, but it was so goddamn worth it.
ME2 was an awesome game! It was one of the first PC games I’ve ever played on my gaming computer.
ME3 is one of the most fun games I’ve ever played. The single player campaign is awesome (right up until the very ending, which I don’t like but isn’t worth all the internet butthurt about it), and the Citadel DLC is probably the best DLC I’ve ever gotten for a game. And if you like ME3’s combat, the multiplayer is even better. When I played campaign I always played the same way - soldier, bring as much gun as possible, just shoot everything. The MP has so many ways to play and they’re all fun to at least try, though of course you’ll find your favorites. Despite a limited amount of maps and only one game mode, it’s one of my all time favorite multiplayer games. I still play it regularly and I don’t imagine I’ll stop until they shut down the servers.
Played some Wind Waker HD today, working through Second Quest now, trying to get a 100% game this time. I think I encountered a glitch though, not sure how it happened or if it’s just my imagination, but it seems like I got a few pieces of heart without it actually adding them up, or advancing the meter or whatever. Like, I got three pieces in a row, but each time it behaved as if I had gotten the first piece of a new heart, instead of telling me that I’d collected two, and then three, and then completed another heart. I didn’t actually check the status of my progress on getting a new heart each time I got a piece though, I only checked it when it seemed odd that I hadn’t gotten another heart after collecting a number of pieces, so I don’t know if I just imagined it somehow. If it did actually glitch, I wonder if those pieces are forever unrecoverable in this game now, or if I can go back and get them again, or what’s happened to them…
For me there’s now officially only one way to play Mass Effect:
Infiltrator Sarah Shepard, born in space, baptised by fire at Elysium… 80/20 Paragon/Renegade (somewhat translates into my own morales, heh)
Because Soldiers are brute force operatives… And sorry, I can accept a woman saving the galaxy three times over, but I have the feeling it should be more of a tactician, rather than brute force “rambo”… And y’know what, that actually applies (though not so much) to my male characters, where I’m much more keen on going towards the “clever use of brute force”, rather than pure rambo approach.
Also: “Give 'em hell girl!” - Joker
P.P.S: That soundtrack STILL gives me chills… like, BIG TIME…
Oh, and… Who would choose the Geth with Tali alive at the end of Priority: Rannoch?
I usually choose peace between Geth and Quarians In Priority: Rannoch.
In every game I play, I usually fall back on a straight-forward berserker style of play. If there’s optional stealth mechanics, I probably won’t last very long trying to use them.
Yeah, but imagine how cool it is to complete a mission without anyone ever knowing you’re there!
Wait, you can stealth missions in ME?
Nobody will know you’re there if they’re all dead.
There’s a stealth class, but I always just assumed that it was mostly sniping. I’ve played a soldier and vanguard myself. (Duh.)
Oh, right, during combat. Somehow I thought he was saying that you can ghost missions like in Deus Ex.
I been trying to get good ol’ sven coop to work, because I want to do an LP of Opposing force with my friends on our currently nonexistant collab channel. But of course because of my tiny mind and lack of computer knowledge, I said fuck it and just played on servers.
I loved ME1, and the ending was amazing. ME2 was decent but just didn’t have the same feel. I’ve never had any desire to play ME3.
I distinctly remember how right after it came out everyone was just gushing about how awesome and emotional and better ME3 is. Then they all finished it, and the shitstorm that ensued took months to die down. AFAIK, the ending is the only bad part, and then everything before that still wraps up the plot pretty well.
Just finished Bioshock Infinite Burial at Sea Episode 1. For being in 1999 mode, the final boss was easier than I thought it would.
F.3.A.R (fuh-three-ur): A game unlike any others. I usually can see good in games that are panned massively. I got enjoyment out of Duke Nukem Forever and Colonial Marines. This is one of the worst shooters I’ve played in a long fucking time as far as AAA shooters go, not counting shit like Ethnic Cleansing and stuff that’s truly bottom of the barrel. What I can’t understand is how it got 7s and 8s across the board when it came out.
That’s sadly true. You can’t ghost through entire missions, but you can be… well… a Spectre. In more ways than one.
Though there is at least one mission that allows for stealthy approach. Well, until scripted detection, something about Kasumi being expected.
It’d be cool though (and somewhat logical), if you could just lonewolf and tacticool cloak through the entirety of say, Thessia.
Or having class-specific Paragon/Renegade interrupts. Such as Infiltrator cloaking and blindsiding your crewmate in that standoff on the Citadel… Kinda like the Engineer interrupt in Omega DLC.
Played some “Sir, you are being hunted”. It’s in it’s alpha stage, so lots of bugs to find and report, playing around and seeing gameplay and overall improvements that can/could be done. It’s a very good game as is, can’t wait to see how it blossoms.
