What Game Did You Play Today?

So I played Pathologic for about an hour or so. Really weird and confusing game but pretty cool. I got through the first day without any of the people I’m supposed to protect dying. I’ll probably die before anyone else though, it’s kind of difficult to keep my hunger down. Also played a bit of Assault on Dark Athena.

Playing the Falskaar mod in Skyrim. It gave me a really bad first impression, but I’m actually enjoying it. In spite of the fact that the land is pretty flat and empty and the main character’s voice actor sounds like he’s doing a bad vampire accent and scenes sometimes don’t trigger right. The author made this mod to get Bethesda’s attention: I guess he wants a job there. Sorry, mate, it’s enjoyable, but it’s not nearly good enough for that.

Yeah, that pretty much sums up my opinion of it. They obviously put plenty of work into it, but it’s far from perfect, and also very generic. The dungeons are very bland, and I almost cringed the first time I opened the map, the design is so basic.

Started Thief Gold and finished the tutorial. I don’t know what it is, but something about the game just makes my bowels tremble with fear.

That’s just that burrito you had yesterday.

I played LoZ Windwaker today, all the way through. Fantastic game haha never gets old.

^ I kinda regret selling that one.

I had no desire before to get a Wii U but with Wind Waker HD coming in October and Super Smash Brothers on the horizon I think it’s about time I picked one up.

lol u just jelly

…To be honest, I share your opinion. Everybody is like, “omg if u hatin on it y dun u try 2 maked mod & c how hard it is”, but it just look like a large Rift, with the same trees and such. There are plenty of modding resources around, I’m sure it would have been possible to make at least the buildings look a bit different from the main game. But of course if you say you don’t like it, or that it isn’t good enough to get the guy a job at Bethesda, then you’re a dick and you’re just jelly and a-hatin’.

I don’t know if it counts, but I have been - as usual - messing around in the Creation Kit. It’s just really fun to make houses for Skyrim :stuck_out_tongue: I have fun looking around the requests section of the Skyrim Nexus forums to pick up requests

I still haven’t gotten around to playing Skyrim. I think I should give it a go at some point.

I did too. Which is why I re bought it haha I’ve never played a LoZ that I haven’t enjoyed. But I have no interest in the HD remake, maybe if the opportunity presents itself I’ll try it. I just don’t like Wii’s.

Kerbal Space Program. I still have no idea how to rendezvous two ships, or for that matter how to land a plane.

I’m so mad. I found out that if you kill all the bosses in MGS4, both forms, nonlethally you get these trophies and if you get all of them you get a special nonlethal gun. I did that with the first boss and didn’t get a trophy. Apparently during the second part of the boss fight you need to find and pick the trophy up. I didn’t do that and now there’s no point in beating the first part nonlethally anymore. I can still do a no kill run though.

rendezvous aint so hard you just gotta know what youre doing with the maneuver nodes. last version my space station got so big that the game lagged out real bad when i tried to add new sections. but the update broke that save :expressionless:

I never use maneuver nodes, I just point my rocket prograde or retrograde and pray.

I lost my internet for about 5 days so i’ve been stuck playing all my non-steam games, which get boring fast

F.E.A.R.

First time playing it. I’ve never been a fan of leaning around corners kind of games, but F.E.A.R have an A.I that makes it worthwile. Watching the enemy jump over walls and pipes to avoid grenades is great and their way of using actually tactics to try to corner you in. Pretty impressive for a game from 2005.

However, I’m currently stuck in this room:

My first thought was that I should climb up over there, so I tried and I couldn’t seem to be able to get up.
I checked a walkthrough guide and it told me that it’s the route I should take. Since I couldn’t do it I thought that it may be some trick I didn’t know about, so I watched a walkthrough video. He made it without no problem. I guess there’s a bug or something preventing me from doing it, 'cause I have no problem getting atop the divider wall, which I’m currently standing on, from the water.

Yeah, that’s where you need to go. Weird that the game isn’t allowing it. It looks like you already raised the water level, too. Very weird.

I played FEAR again pretty recently and I remember getting stuck in that room, too. I can’t remember how I got past it, though. Can you walk on the little lip at the bottom of the wall with the windows on the right?

Nope, already tried that. It was one of the things I tried when I couldn’t use the water way. I even tried to jump through the window without success.

EDIT: I booted up the game to try one thing, which came to me while looking at my own screenshot, I thought might work. Loaded my save and threw my last proximity mine over and then shot it to blow it up, moving the gun out of the way. I managed to get up now, guess something bugged when I shot that guy while he was climbing the ladder.

Dishonored, Black Mesa and Borderlands 1.

I’d play Bioshock 1, but unfortunately I, along with quite a few others, are just getting a bunch of issues getting it to work smoothly.
