Finished Assault on Dark Athena and started No One Lives Forever.
Played some CS:GO. Still pretty fun though I can’t believe there’s still no silenced weapons.
NOLF was a brilliant game. I need to get that one working again…
NOLF is great, shame there are insta-game over stealth segments later in the game though. Other then that, it’s one of my favorites and has some amazing set pieces.
Yeah, like that bit with the skydiving out of a jet? Or the underwater sequence?
First some DayZ, then some Skyrim, then some Chivalry and finally some Rising Storm.
I didn’t like Nolf. It annoyed me at every other step. Especially when trying to get into the night club and everything that I did resulted in a game-over. I always gave up there.
I played some Unreal last night. Got blown up by an enemy shooting the barrels I was standing next to, couldn’t remember when I saved last, and quit to play some more GTAIV. Haven’t done a story mission in days. I’ve just been driving around in circles…
Played Bulletstorm for the first time and basically beat it as well. I’m not gonna lie, I was pleasantly surprised by how great a game it was. Retardedly funny one liners, stupid swearing that doesn’t make ANY sense most of the time, and creative fun to watch kills with the badass weapons and that leash really make that game. I give it 8.5-9/10, really great and totally fun, just blissfully mindless fun.
After days of downloading, my free copy of Assassin’s Creed III that shipped with my computer is finally on my hard drive. Of course, when I load into the game and crank everything to Very High, all of the characters suddenly look like Blue Man Group rejects wearing matrix code for clothing.
Suddenly, I’m very worried about how Watch Dogs will turn out on PC…
Well, Watch Dogs is using a new engine and is developed primarily on PC, so it should be good.
It’d fucking better be. Otherwise I’m never buying a Ubisoft game on PC again.
Watch Dogs better be great for other reasons. It is the only game coming out this year that I want to buy.
I have an issue with Bioshock 1 not playing any sound that’s kept me from playing it through again.
Actually though, now that I think about it, that might have been the same issue with my headphones that I fixed months ago…
The loading times have been keeping me from booting up Bioshock, and I am only on the second(?) level of my first play through (I have only killed one splicer).
Have you set the executable to “Run as Administrator?” (Assuming you’re on a Windows machine.) I think that’s what got it running for me.
I read a bunch of FAQs for Bioshock issues when I played it recently, because mine wouldn’t even start. I think this one was a Realtek audio driver issue, and there were fixes.
theres always been a MAJOR bug with bioshock that if there are ANY bats or birds anywhere in your house it won’t work right and the devs have done nothing to fix it dispite my constant tweeting @ them and their immediate family members over several years
Wargames: European Escalation.
This game really needs a pause feature…
^Single player in that game suffered from multiplayer oriented patches. You’re better off picking up Airland Battle which replaced the campaign with offline with bots and the AI is improved.
Watched Quakecon today so decided I’d fire Quake up. It’s got some really good lighting for how old it is. And it’s pretty fun.
I finished Falskaar’s main quest finally. What a cop-out ending. I wtf’d out loud. It needs work, but I feel like it was worth the time.
Yup. I get sound up till the plane crash (so literally the first 30 seconds). Then nothing, nothing at all (I even played for like 10-15 more minutes just to see if it came on, nothing).
Tried that a few days ago, sadly nothing. Drivers are fine, tried compatibility mode, tried a few other little tweaks that werent overly complicated. I’ve just had no bloody luck with it, it’s frustrating consider Bio 2 has been running smooth as a fiddle.
Read heaps of threads and the FAQ’s about it. It’s shocking how many people are having issues.
Like, Infinite turned out great, albeit having one of the most unlikeable protagonists ever, now go back and fix the first game for your player base.
