What Game Did You Play Today?

Metroid Prime, and I’m still desperately trying to finish Shattered Crystal, but it’s just so dull. I keep just turning my DS off and going back to Wii U games.

I finished Saints Row 3. Now I’m trying to 100% it, then I’ll probably start another playthrough. It’s a great game; I’d recommend it if you haven’t already tried it.

A little bit of Bayonetta 2 and the Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap.

Been playing a lot of Skyrim and Star Trek Online

System Shock 1 and itt was pretty annoying to get into the controls and find out where to go bc. of the graphics and the maze-like levels. Now it’s starting to make fun, because I figured out most things right now

Started Shadowrun Returns. Quite an interesting game, and seems to be another great title in the turn-based tactics renaissance as of late. I’ll also have to get into Wasteland 2.

Started my second playthrough of Saints Row 3. I don’t know what it is, but something about the female character animations just doesn’t seem right.

Dying Light…some quibbles here and there but an overall really great experience. The soundtrack, parkour and the nighttime gameplay make this game a real gem that you shouldn’t miss. The only reason it’s reviewing relatively poorly is because most gaming outlets are angry they didn’t get their review copies in time…HONESTLY I couldn’t recommend this game highly enough.

Have to check out Shadowrun, too. Loved the SNES Version, though I never manged to beat it.
I am a lot into Wasteland 2 right now and I am loving it so far. Incredibly deep and appartently so much to do and to discover. Took me some time to get into the game and encounter mechanics, but well worth it. Highly recommended!

I also had high hopes for Jagged Alliance: Flashback, cause I used to be an avid JA2 player. But from the looks of the user comments it looks like another more or less half-baked attempt to recreate JA 2. Got some hopes in the modding scene, though. We’ll see.

Started a new game in Stalker SoC with the OGSE mod. Getting pretty tired of replaying it (and other Stalker games) but no other game fills the void.

Lost Alpha is cool I guess but the AI being shit kind of defeats the purpose.

Hydrophobia: Prophecy.

It’s actually really good for an indie game, but it was also incredibly short. You barely even get a chance to use the water powers before the final boss fight.

Hi, my kind of game will always be a dancing craze of Xbox 360. It looks like just any game that gives scores to what you’ve got. It is a very nice way of getting fit too and it’s fun

Just emerged from Agroprom Underground in Stalker SoC. There were three bloodsuckers and two controllers when there usually is only one of each. Was pretty hard. Also I love the flare grenades in this mod. They look so pretty with Stalker’s lighting and really helped in a few places in the underground. I initially thought they were like fire grenades but they essentially act like flares. The description says they can have a similar effect to flashbangs but I haven’t seen that yet.

I’ve been playing Evolve for half the night. HIGHLY recommended if you’ve got the cash spare to buy it (ignoring DLC extras).

Started a new game in Call of Pripyat recently as well, with SGM 2.2 Lost Soul. In there I have to wait until night for a mission (and I can’t sleep to make it go quicker) and in SoC I can’t walk 2 feet without getting killed. Fun times.

Battlefield 4.

Jeeeez, this campaign is a buggy piece of crap.

Just shows how little they bothered working on the game since such a linear and scripted campaign can have so many problems. I really didn’t encounter too may bugs that would have kept me from progressing, but occasionally when I was supposed to go into a scripted sequence I would die (like that one part on the dam when you have to jump to the ladder) and other things like enemies hanging in the air after you kill them. It’s even worse since BF4 wasn’t like CoD where the next game is released the year after. The game was in development for quite a while. I don’t know what they were doing that entire time.

I like the part when they brake to not drive over a woman and her kid and then moment later a man runs right through the car. Or when you fall right trough the boat when that mission end.

I hate the fucking driving mechanics and they arent better in hardline

Finally made it to the Bar in SoC with OGSE. Also found a cool AK47 on a dead stalker. It’s similar to the rapid fire AKS you get in the Agroprom underground but it fires 7.62x39 ammo rather than the 5.45x39 the AKS shoots, so it does more damage and is more accurate. Also has a built in underbarrel grenade launcher. Apparently you can’t put scopes on it though. Also got a saiga.
