What Game Did You Play Today?

PGR 4 (Project Gotham Racing 4) (Xbox360). After few year long break I restarted my play-through, and I really like it (a lot).

Shadow of the Colossus. This game is really pretty, and wonderfully atmospheric. They nailed the sound design.

Have been playing for some time the “Black Mesa Source” game/modification, and am really impressed by it.

^ Great game.

I think I’m on the final level of Blood’s first chapter, or whatever you call it.

Also did a few missions in Driver.

I was going to play Arkham City over the long weekend, but instead I played Opposing Force, Blue Shift, Peaces Like Us (a Half-Life mod that I remember as being one of my favorites, but wasn’t as good as I remembered (but still very enjoyable)), and got about halfway through Half-Life 2, which of course is still amazing even nearly ten years later.

Finished Blood’s first chapter. What is the point of throwing a boss at you that takes forever to kill without a health bar? Like what point is there to not letting you know how much health a boss has?

Perhaps they thought it would be too “immersion breaking”.

Finally finished Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood.
Had to replay sequence 9 about three times due to a glitch (possibly caused by high framerate…) preventing a cutscene from triggering :meh:

Later:

“Press any button”

WASD TAB ESC :expressionless:
:C

Started Assassin’s Creed: Revelations.

Woah, the faces.

Eh, they changed the camera again…

No first-person view button? :[

Half-Life 2: Episode 2. I finally found all the grubs.

Been playing Dragon Nest for the past week and a half, returning to it after a few months.

As much as I generally hate loading screens and instance-based dungeons, the combat is magnificent, some of the best in any MMO, though I suppose that’s specifically because of it’s genre.
Also tried some Archage beta. Great sandbox game but…combat is a huge let down sadly. :frowning:

Dead Rising 3.
Never came across any crashes while I was playing the game that everyone complaints other then poor optimisation.
But other then that, my first impression for this game is positive.

Planetside 1. I wanted to check out the caves, so I finally managed to make my way to a geowarp, only to get a message…

“You are unable to access this content because you have not purchased the Core Combat expansion.”

._.

I never had any crashes either but it’s GTAIV-tier optimization. It even runs worse than Watch Dogs (which was also criticized for running poorly) for me while looking worse.

Aliens vs Predator 2

Been on a bit of a vintage gaming kick lately. Picked up some SNES carts the other day, I can’t believe how expensive they’ve gotten (For the rare ones anyway, but even the more common desirable games are often $20-$40). I beat Star Fox in like 30 minutes, then tried to play Jurassic Park but I couldn’t leave the elevator because the select button on my controller doesn’t work. :frowning: Can’t wait to get the Super Famicom controllers I ordered off ebay.

Also fixed my Gamecube controller with replacement joystick caps, also from ebay, so I’ve been replaying Tales of Symphonia. I can’t believe I finished that game like 10 times when I was a teenager. But, without decent internet, online multiplayer games couldn’t suck my time away back then though I suppose. Looking forward to playing some Metroid Prime as well.

Lichdom: Batllemage…the game is good and it really makes you feel like a badasss mage…but the crafting/reforging/synthesis systems and how they are explained…it’s just

Five Nights at Freddy’s. I thought Foxy didn’t do shit on Night 1?

Haven’t actually played the game, but just watching people play it stresses me out. ;_;

What I played: More Dragon Nest, League of Legends with friends. Haven’t felt like playing other games lately.

World of Tanks
