Yeah
I just can’t afford to get a PC or build one that can run game a like FO3/NV, Skryim, etc. It’s on my wish list, to get all the bits and build one up, so I won’t suffer with vanilla games like those xD
Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 5
Jesus Christ, man
Freedom Planet, better known as “Not a Sonic game, I swear!”
It may just be that I’m only playing on Normal, but I didn’t expect to finish this in only around 4 hours on my first playthrough. I suppose the “what do you expect for a $15 indie game” excuse would be acceptable here, and I did enjoy what I played, so…yeah. It’s good.
Gears of War 2 - Xbox360.
I watched a video comparing the old Abe’s Odyssey game to the remake and it prompted me to try playing the game again. I’m actually enjoying it this time, though I haven’t gotten very far in it. It helps that I am apparently paying more attention to the opening tutorial than I originally did and now know how to play.
Well… started Tomb Raider II… more nostalgia… another great game.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
I saved Malik this time around!
Got to the next level in Blood and got a bit farther in Abe’s Odyssey. I think I’ve saved 11 people so far but there’s like 20 on the level and if I leave the level they all die. I have no idea how to get to other areas on this level though. The stuff in this game is pretty intense for a kid’s game.
:brow:
Is it not? I thought it was.
Edit: Apparently it was rated T. Not sure why I thought it was a kid’s game.
Because of fart jokes?
But yeah, not a kids game.
Risen 3…I should not be enjoying this game but I am…I blame dopamine.
Half-Life Opposing Force. I have not progressed far, have been playing the game for around 20 minutes. (My opinion) Damn, it looks like a game that is better than Borderlands 2, by far.
Until today I could not imagine myself playing that game, as it quiet old. But then, after I have spent few hours playing Gears of War 2 on my Xbox360, I changed for better.
P.S.: All hail Microsoft!

no.
On topic, Gun Club 3 for iPad.
I didn’t play anything today but I downloaded a game called Aurora, which seems to be one of the most complicated games ever made. The guy is essentially coding it for himself so depending on your system you have to do a bunch of work arounds to get it to work. For example the game only runs at one resolution because that’s the resolution of the guy’s screen. It’s mostly menu based it seems though and can run windowed so it’s not like playing a 3D game like that.

I’ve actually heard of that one before. It’s some ludicrously complex hard sci-fi space combat game. It’s like the Dwarf Fortress of space games.
I’m actually reading along with a guide to initially start and it might actually be a bit easier to play compared to DF because it has an actual UI and not just a series of hotkeys and looking at ASCII characters. I think the guy making DF said that he wants to finish the game before making the UI more user friendly, which doesn’t really sound like a good idea to me. The complexity is still there of course but there’s no real added complexity from an obtuse UI.
Yeah, that’s a fair assessment. Dwarf Fortress has the worst UI I’ve ever seen. Recently, the DF community has actually started making mods that improve the interface.
If you do play ever play Dwarf Fortress, you’ll want to download a community pack like the Lazy Newb Pack. It adds a bunch of useful mods, like a spreadsheet program for assigning jobs to dwarves and some graphical tile sets to replace the ASCII.
I keep playing the Gears of War 2 (Xbox360), and it is awesome! Visually it is far better than what I expected from an Xbox360 game, and there is almost no waiting periods as the further levels load, great! I would recommend it to any Xbox360 console owner, if they have not played it yet.
