What Game Did You Play Today?

Played a bit further in Thiaf and started a new game in Thief TDP.

Renegade X, and some of the original renegade single player which is actually pretty fun, despite having really bad enemy AI

FEAR. It’s a fun and creepy game. Haven’t finished it yet though.

I still need to play Fear for a second time. Don’t know why I haven’t…

Still playing lots of Saints Row 2.

Castlevania:Lords of Shadow 2,about 10 hours in.The game is(at least so far) definitely better than the reviews are telling(Edge 4/10 WTF).
+better combat
+visually impressive on PC
+castle is fun to explore

  • some awful stealth segments
  • modern setting is poorly realized
So far it’s an 7-8/10 game for me.

Terraria. I haven’t played this game in ages, and there are some notable improvements, like stairs and ropes.

The new music is nice, too.

Picked up where I left off in T2X for Thief 2. Also beat the 3rd chapter of Thiaf.

Dude, have you read this article from vg24/7?

Trying to ghost Thief Gold and I don’t know how good of a job I’m doing. I just finished Cragscleft and had to use a water arrow at one point, which apparently doesn’t count as ghosting even though it seemed necessary. Also released at least one prisoner besides the people I was supposed to get out and they set off an alarm at one point on the map, which I don’t know if that ruined my attempt at ghosting either. The game also counted me as having done a backstab when I only had my sword out for zombies so I don’t know.

Yes I have read that article and I absolutely agree with Alvarez about Edge making themselves looks stupid.

FEAR and Batman Arkham City.

Terraria. I’ve already got a full set of hellstone gear, and I’m getting ready to take on the wall of flesh and head into hardmode. This game is a lot easier that I remember it being. Right now, the hardest thing to do is keep all my chests organized and build enough rooms to hold the two dozen merchants.

FEAR: Extraction Point. I think it’s a good expansion for FEAR 1 so far.

MGS3 and both Borderlands games. MGS3 is kind of strange about boss stamina; my general strategy for Playthrough 2 has been to kill basic enemies but non-lethal the bosses, and that’s worked for every boss except The Fear (the Spider camo ain’t worthwhile anyway IMO). But on my first playthrough, it took me about a week to lethal The End (who never actually used any stamina), then just yesterday I non-lethalled him in under 5 minutes.

I got an Emperor in BL2 (a pretty good legendary for a Siren with my playstyle, though I’d rather another Dog, and about an hour ago I found a level 22 Hornet in a BL1 vending machine (not even item of the day) for only $2200.

I’m a little over halfway through T2X after playing today. About to fiddle with the Dark Mod now to try and get my custom headbob settings to stick.

Terraria. The Wall of Flesh is pissing me off; I could beat it fairly easily, but only if I put in the time to pave a huge swath of the underworld into a flat plane.

Mario Galaxy, from back when Nintendo came up with new ideas for their games.

I need to remember to re-download BL1 and try see if the FoV tweaks recommended to me help with the headaches the game has given me in the past.

Today I played more Sir:YABH. Accidentally alerted myself to a landowner. ._.
They hobble slowly enough where you don’t panic too much you’re being followed, but enough that you know you can’t take forever.
And that pissed off steam train sound it makes. -hide-

Been playing some Don’t starve, I made a landmass that had more basic resources and berries, but also tons of spiders. The first couple nights are pretty terrifying seeing as upsetting one spider (which they often walk into your camp) will bring the whole bloody lot of them down on you and you try to fend off 10+ spiders all at once with a hatchet.

Terraria. I tried to build a new, floating base in space, but it turns out the space layer is very small, so it’s more of a tower with the very top being in space.
