I’ve finally gotten back to more Black Flag. The main story is rather light compared to 2 or 3, but there is so much cool shit you can do. My personal favorite is the stealth action playgrounds for gaining access to supply warehouses and mayan ruin sites. AC finally has decent stealth gameplay. I am digging this!
After almost 2 years, I finally got all the achievements in Mass Effect 3 MP. I can finally say I am Best of the Best. Or at least I can set my title to it. Yay.
Trying to play some Sam and Max, but it almost always ends with me beating my head against the desk. Even though I understand the peculiar brand of logic used in these games, it can be really frustrating when I get to a point where I have no clue what to do and have to meticulously go over everything with a fine-toothed comb, trying every possible thing until finally I find the weird thing I was supposed to do to advance the game. Urgh. I’m on the last game of season 1, and have two seasons more in my library to play…I’m never gonna finish
Just remembered that Severance: Blade of Darkness is a game so I downloaded that because it seemed cool. You can’t move sideways out of combat though which sucks and messes me up. It’s a cool game though. Haven’t played enough to get a hang on the combat yet though. You can dismember people though which is pretty cool.
Wait. You solo’d fucking GOLD/PLATINUM? Fuck. I can barely solo Silver, sometimes I have trouble with Bronze (mostly tried with Asari Justicar, though, not my favorite Quarian Infiltrator)
Yup. Just gold though, not platinum, I can’t even imagine that, its brutal even with 4 people. I did my solo runs with the Turian Infiltrator and the Alliance Infiltration Unit. They are great for soloing because they are quick, can cloak, and have wonderful shield regen powers that use grenades, plus they still do lots of damage. When soloing, speed and being able to hide trump any amount of shields or damage output though, so spec for longer lasting cloak (helps a lot for running to cover and doing objectives), and use an adrenaline module. Use a mod that expands the capacity of your grenades, and use the regen power to save yourself when you start taking damage. Since it’s just you, you’ll always have grenades to pick up, and you won’t have to rely on your limited ops packs. It will take a long time to finish, no question about it though, and it may take some luck of the draw with the objectives. Hopefully you don’t get 4 device or hack objectives, those are the worst because they force you to stay in one spot.
There is a way to game the system though, if you’re feeling up to it and have one or more friends willing to help you. I did it once or twice just to speed it up, since I felt I had already proven myself with my other solo runs. The way ME3 counts games towards the achievement is just checking if you extract by yourself. That means you can have up to 4 people playing up until round 11. As long as they quit before the extraction, you will extract alone and get the achievement, so you can just run around and hide the whole round until it’s time to extract. Now my memory is a little hazy, but what I did is I let my friend host, then at round 11 he quit, which restarted the round with me as host, then I finished and it counted towards my achievement. I don’t know for sure if it is important you do it that way or not, but I think it might be. You can try googling it if you want.
Dragon Nest,bit of League and then some Sir, you are being hunted, since that just had a new update. New robot/enemy is so scary. ;_;
On a side note (not related to games played today) - Has anyone played the 2008 version of Prince of Persia? It’s on sale and it looks pretty cool, but I’ve been hearing lots of bad news about it.
I’ve myself ventured into Platinum a few times with full random teams and became a pretty common sight in Gold, again with pubbies… But the only friends who’d (maybe) play the multiplayer with me top out with their skills at Silver. Funny fact, their abilities with team top out where my solo abilities do. Guess I’m an N7…
Been playing Saints Row 2 for a second time. Then maybe The third again, maybe. Or possibly Call Of Juarez: Gunslinger. Call of Pripyat should be given a chance to actually be played more than ten minutes too…
Was going for the second to last teleporter piece in Sir You Are Being Hunted and got too close to a robot guarding it (I was at the lowest visibility notch too, but I was like a foot in front of him) and ended up dying. First death in this entire playthrough, which sucks.
I died within 10 minutes of my current playthrough. LOL. I was trying to just grab-and-run a certain piece and…it didn’t end so well.
Met a few Landowners today. The sounds they make…-shudder-
I also have my south island set to Fens, and there is a teleporter piece sitting out on a very small island with 2 robots guarding it, and no way to get across but to swim, which of course means I need to time it just as the bog monsters disappears (apparently he has a long cooldown on respawning?), and I need firearms because the robots would notice me the instant I get there.
I don’t want to get rid of my weapons if I can help it. I think I have all of them except the cricket bat. How small is the island you’re talking about though? You seriously can’t set foot on it without them seeing you? You could try throwing a bottle or something. I don’t know how robots get to isolated islands. Do they swim or something?
I didn’t even know you could get a cricket bat, god damn. I still haven’t met a Poacher yet (I kind of just didn’t play the game when he was introduced, for some reason I forgot about it), so I haven’t gotten a blunderbuss, but in previous playthroughs I’ve gotten the pistol, rifle, shotgun and axe/hatchet.
Here is the island - https://oi59.tinypic.com/2hyudec.jpg
As you can see, it’s decently far off, and that’s the best shot I could get from that angle (from another angle which was even further away, you can see barely any more of it). No way I can see possible of getting there without alerting them, meaning I need a firearm first to kill them.
The bog monster scares the living crap out of me though, and in the 1-2 attempts I’ve made of just sprinting there, I either get lost in the mess of underwater rocks, or I run away avoiding the tentacles?
Also, is it just me or do they slightly resemble the tentacles from half life? Albeit giant snapping claws instead of singular tapping ones.
Edit: Was just watching a YT vid of SYABH. Turns out you can shoot out the balloons search light. I’ve been playing this game for over 3 months and didn’t know that ._.
I tried doing that in this playthrough and instead of the light going out the robot fell out of the balloon :retard: .
And yeah, there are two melee weapons, hatchet and cricket bat. Hatchet is stronger. And I had forgotten about the blunderbuss. I tried getting a piece guarded by two hunters and a poacher, but I alerted all of them by getting too close. I ran out and around the little forest area they were in and both robots got stuck in the poacher’s traps. I had shot the poacher when I was running away so I went back in to get the piece and I got stuck in a trap too. I got out sooner than the hunters did though.
War Thunder for me. Being a nice XP pinata for all the jets and the scourge of all the propeller aircraft.
Also, fuck arachnophobia. Five foot tall space bugs? Bring it. Spider the same size? EEEK, RUN FOR YOUR LIVES, and a week of nightmares. Also, giant fucking centipedes that spit acid and bury themselves in the ground, with enough strenght to take down a tank are apparently OK.
