Played some more Thief Gold today, I killed Raoul who was supposed to give me a key and I didn’t find that out until two hours later into the mission, so now i have to start from the beginning again.
Yay, got into the Titanfall beta!
Downloading on Origin way faster than my internet connection is capped at. EA has some black magic that works wonders on my internet connection.
Origin kinda lies about transfer rates, doesn’t it?
No. It was a real spike of speed. It eventually stabilized to 2MB/s. At some point it reached 13MB/s and it downloaded 1GB in less than a minute.
Took a trip back through FEZ, that game is huge.
I saw it get to over 4MB/s… more than five times the speed my connection is capable of (bandwidth ~6517kbps = ~815kB/s)
Something strange going on here…
How many of the hidden puzzles did you solve?
Attempted to play The Witcher: Enhanced Edition. Game crashed on me when I modified some graphics settings, severely enough to force a restart of my computer. Glad I’m trying this game for free…
Odd - I’ve always found the Enhanced Edition to be pretty stable.
It’s definitely worth playing if you can get around whatever’s causing that issue.
I have to figure out how to solve the tetris puzzles, not that I’ve tried very hard.
The combat in the game is somewhat odd. It’s much more rhythm based than most other games featuring swordplay that I’ve tried. I also tried the tutorial of The Witcher 2, which is much more like a traditional hack and slash and a major adjustment back from The Witcher 1. I feel like I’d need a lot of time to get into these games. The story sure seems interesting, though.
Fucking really, Witcher 2? You have to meditate to drink potions? That’s some bullshit right there. (In Witcher 1 you can knock back potions anytime)
Any opinion on the Combat Rebalance mods? Should I get them for a first time play?
Finished Mafia. Great game. Now to replay Mafia 2 with a much better graphics card than before.
I finally got around to getting all of the secrets in Batman Arkham Asylum (haven’t played it in a while since this year started). I had to find a guide just to get the secret maps I missed in several areas. Now I just need to get around to finishing the challenge maps.

It’s the worst fucking game I’ve ever played, big rigs be damned.
Sounds about right. That game was a fucking travesty, through and through. Even Shadow the Hedgehog was arguably a more functional product, even it it too was a massive pile of dogshit.
I played both the original Myst and it’s direct sequel Riven, which I found out where available to download for iPhone. Ohmygawd the nostalgia.
When I saw you say that this morning I went back through Shadow the Hedgehog. You were right. Vocal trax were pretty good though.
