Fear 2 was a very well made game. It felt off at first for me, but I grew accustomed to the changes and I actually have some good menories from that game. I recommend it highly.
There was also no lean. Not sure if I’ll be able to get used to that but I might pick it up on a sale at some point.
I really enjoyed FEAR 2. It certainly doesn’t have the atmosphere of the first, or the jumps, but it’s still a solid shooter imo. The storyline itself I also enjoyed, although it disregards the add-ons for FEAR 1.
I’ve always meant to get FEAR 3 but never got around to it, anyone played that? Worth it?
I heard it was terrible and not worth playing.
Well I was playing SA today and did quite a few missions. I went to save and the game fucking crashed. So now I have to do like an hour worth of missions including two or three that too me forever to beat.
It’s only worth playing in co-op but even then I would not recommend. It’s short and boring.
Gutted.
Sad to see such great IPs fall from grace so drastically. Happens far too often.
Now Playing: Splinter Cell Double agent, Original Xbox version. Is it just me or have these games just not aged particularly well?
Got a bit of nostalgia and installed NFS Underground 1. Damn, this game still plays really well. If they re-released it with modern resolution support and better 360 gamepad compatibility, I would definitely pick it up.
I’ve been making my way through the first Fallout over the past few days and finished it just now.
I very strangely got almost all bad endings, even though I completed pretty much every quest I could that would count for the good ones.
Apparently it’s because I returned to the locations after a certain number of days passed. Now that’s just weird.
Oh well, on with the sequel I go.
Legend Of Zelda: Windwaker
Possibly my most favorite LoZ game to date, besides Majoras Mask. I love it, and cherish that little disk like its made of gold.
Replaying Metro 2033 on Ranger Hardcore. This game seriously needs quicksaves and lean.
What is it with you and lean? Can’t you just creep around the corners?
Heh, this is the second time I mentioned it today. It just feels strange not having it in this game. That and the second I move around a corner, even if my watch says I’m invisible, everyone opens fire on me.
You mean like in TF2?
In the game your watch has a light sensor on it. It’s green for invisible, yellow for somewhat visible, and red for really visible.
Oh, that’s neat. IIRC you can also use a handcrank to charge up the flashlight so it’ll be brighter.
I actually really want to play that game now.
You actually have to. I’m not sure if it’ll completely go out but if you don’t crank the battery at some points you won’t really be able to see anything with your flashlight. And it also powers nightvision goggles if you get those, and I know that’ll go completely out. There also a bunch of weapons that you have to pump, a railgun that shoots ball bearings, an airpowered gun that shoots arrows, and another airpowered gun that shoots ball bearings too I think. If you haven’t played it I’d highly suggest it.
Far Cry 3. I got the blow torch, and I just can’t stop burning things. I want to burn everything.
I know how that feels.
Need for Speed 2012, it feels pretty awesome, if you don’t compare it to the original that is
Ditto. It was one of the better FPS games I’ve played in recent years, can’t wait for the second.
I always wanted the Metro series take a less linear route though. It’d be like an RPG corridor crawl. Added in something like L4Ds ‘A.I Director’ which would change the type and location of enemies, and the amount of them, as well as adding in new ‘loot’ each time you went there based on the enemies. As well as perhaps certain ‘route blockers’ then you’d have an AWESOME game imo.
Certain areas would be inaccessible until later on in the story, like different faction areas and further underground unexplored areas full of the paranormal stuff. Whilst the above ground area would consist of linear areas with larger open areas further from the metro stations you came out from, all linked.
Think Fallout 3 but more focused and more linear. With a darker tone similar to the first metro game. There would be less loot on the surface, but it’d be rarer. Plus you’d have the hardest ‘monsters’ on the surface. Ones that really hunt you down.
It’d be a tough survival horror FPS with important inventory management in regards to taking limited weapons and equipment.
