Awesome! Thanks!
No prob!
Still going through Metro 2033 on Ranger Hardcore. I don’t like the Hellsing, like at all. Switched it for a shotgun when I could and am thinking of getting my volt driver back. There was this one part where there were three Nazis patrolling and I had to go out the entrance without being seen. I was edging for it when one of them reacted and went and rang the alarm. Before any of them could fire a shot I took them all out with throwing knives. The alarm woke up a sleeping guy though and I got him with a throwing knife before he could do anything either.
Wouldn’t that be kinda like a darker, more linear version of a STALKER game?
Hmmm. I suppose so, but undergound
OOOOooooOOOOooooo
It’d lean more towards a linear shooter though, with only a couple of access points between areas. The trick would be designing the areas to have ‘different’ fights depending on which way your traveling through them, as well as the enemies encountered.
The inventory management wouldn’t be as intense as Stalker though, with perhaps a modern day shooter weapon management, two rifles and a pistol ( or other single handed weapon ). Then you’d have a pouch for ammo, either for weapons you have or others to sell later. Then you’d have equipment pouch for flashlight, batteries, gas mask and filters or whatever.
Perhaps another pouch for ‘special’ weapons, like throwing knives, or bolts for your crossbow should you take it in a rifle slot.
The inventory would be more about giving up space you might need for survival equipment in exchange for stuff to sell, which would include the ammo pouches, and the weapon holsters. You could take a chance not taking as much with you, or you could throw away filters to take valuable loot. However it might fuck you up later down the line.
Played a shitload of Resident Evil 4 on the PS3. So much better than RE5 and possibly 6 (haven’t played 6 yet, just the demo).
I wish they made more slow-paced shooters like this, with a big emphasis on exploration and puzzles, and a well defined mood throughout the whole story.
Played at Dota 2, it’s really funny if you coordinate with the other members of your team.
By the way, Steam has just stuffed my backpack with two Dota 2 if you want it send me a pm.
Bye
Got graphics and weather mods for Stalker SoC, nothing that changes the gameplay though. Looks pretty damn good.
Time to finally play this game, started on Master. Anything I should know about it?
Beat Metro 2033 again but still got the normal ending instead of the alternate. Watched it on Youtube though, it would have been nice to get it in my game though.
Edit: And this was on Ranger Hardcore. During the part going through the facility with all those amoeba things, I had like 2 total shots with my revolver and maybe 15 shots with my AK at any one time. And this was after firing all my money bullets.
About to play Dishonored. I got my last paycheck from work so I blew a bit of it on video games. Installing necessary content to my PS3 now…
Also ripping the soundtrack CD that came with my new copy of Persona 2: Innocent Sin (PSP).
Playing RTCW coop
Favorite thing to do in Dishonored so far- blow up resistance members by randomly throwing high-explosive whale oil about.
More STALKER SoC, encountered a village filled with bloodsuckers and got scared and nearly died. Got a nifty crystal as a reward for clearing it though.
I wish I played this game more when I picked it up back in 07, the world just feels so hostile and yet so real, makes it a genuinely scary experience without needing a bunch of scripted cheap scares.
Played some FO3. I actually prefer this games scenery over New Vegas by far. NV just seems empty to me and incredibly boring to traverse. I just wish FO3 had some of the gameplay elements from NV.
Played Resident Evil 4 for iPad. It was pretty fun until the chainsaw dude showed up. Anyone know what to do there?
Shoot him a lot? Set him on fire with incendiary grenades?
There’s quite a few chainsaw dudes in that game.
Oh, a good strategy is to shoot zombies in the legs to make them fall.
For most bosses, just shoot at them a lot. If that doesn’t work, shoot at the glowy orange bits. If that doesn’t work, look for a bigger gun.
Played more Return to Castle Wolfenstein Coop, got up to the tank escort mission and the flamethrower.
This game is fucking great in coop.
Constructed myself some space stations along with a nice comm-satellite array.
God, I love KSP
As you’ve played the game, you should know that they are not zombies. The Las Plagas does not zombify its victims (ie. killing the host, then reanimating the corpse). The parasite, when either orally consumed or injected, attaches itself to the base of the cerebellum of the host. This allows it to control all motor functions and thought processes.
Not zombies. The host is still alive.
I’ve reached the final boss of MegaMan X8. You think you have him when suddenly there’s an additional stage. If you gameover, you then have to start over. I then proceeded to play Minecraft on the Xbox because I was downloading the second Australian season of Wilfred, and any activity on the computer would have slowed it down even more.
