Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, obviously.
God so hyped for it, I can’t get it till Thursday. Just tell me, did it disappoint? Most don’t. But still.
Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes (pre-ordered also MGS V, I hope I am able to play it fluently, since my rig is old and rusty oO)
aaand Enslaved: Odyssey to the West (PC-Port, not so bad actually)
Not disappointed at all so far. Enjoying it immensely and simply can’t stop playing.
Yesssss. I cannot wait. Between this and Fallout 4, I am immensely hyped.
I’m totally going to livestream MGSV. As for my impressions thus far- the open world game design fits IMPOSSIBLY well with established Metal Gear gameplay. Being able to pick when and where to infiltrate locations is a fantastic idea, and I got more mileage out of my NVGs than almost any stealth or shooting game ever. They also fixed one of the only little problems I had in Ground Zeroes- if you kick awake an opponent and hold him up, he’ll roll on his stomach now instead of the player having to wait until the enemy gets up to hold him up.
Can confirm that MGSV definitely lives up to the hype. I haven’t gotten very far but as long as you didn’t hate Peacewalker’s (and really, GZ’s too) side mission stuff you should like it. And the gameplay makes even side missions fun anyway. Also playing your own music during missions is pretty cool. Just wish it were easier to pause and resume music so you didn’t have to keep going into the iDroid if you want to pause for a second.
I mean hell, you have to extract interpreters to get subtitles on whatever language they can interpret. That’s a really cool use of gameplay. Hopefully there’s more than one language that needs interpreted.
Having a lot of fun with The Phantom Pain as well.
I’m so confused- Snake used to speak perfect Russian in MGS3, then Ocelot is like “the shrapnel in your face means you can’t anymore.”
It’s OCELOT saying this, however, so I instinctively think there’s more to that.
Well he also has shrapnel in his brain, which could cause something like that. In any case people have been sure that there’s more to the game since it was revealed, with lots of speculation that you’re not actually playing as Big Boss.
I finished mission 12 in TPP.
wow its been for ever since i posted here
870 hours in Payday.
First time I’ve ever really seriously used armour.
God damn.
Nearly finished TPP (On Chapter 2) and holy shit this game is fantastic. Seriously recommend this to anyone who just likes freedom to choose how to play, third person shooters, and stealth/covert gameplay cause this games brilliant. It is also quite an addition to the saga.
Fuck Eli tho. Seriously I hate that kid. Isn’t he supposed to be liquid? Cause that explains why he’s such an asshole
I’m seriously lagging behind in TPP but I want to hurry up and finish it before I’m spoiled. I just finished episode 16 and am 32 hours in.
Found a place where the convoy would pass by and set up there. When it got near I had Quiet shoot the driver to stop it then I fultoned the truck and ran off with a tank from the skulls. They destroyed the tank but I managed to get away still.
I actually played a fair amount of Rebirth to get hype for Afterbirth.
Had a 1 hour long run, was pretty fun.
After a few more runs, I got a run with Mutant Spider (quad shot). Was working okay, went into Boss rush because I needed to finish it as Cain. Picked up Monstro’s Lung. Now, both these items have about 0.5x tear rate. I was shooting tears so god damn slowly. I pushed through.
I get to the final wave, the Headless Horseman, and the Fallen.
I kill the Fallen, I’m on half a heart, charging up my final short on the Horseman as he’s about to shoot an explosive shot at me, when suddenly he doesn’t and instead fucking flies into me.
A 15 minute Boss rush lost on the last shot.
Fuck.
Tried my hand at Killing Floor 2.
I’m not impressed. It’s very pretty, and they have a good composer. That’s really all I have to say positive about it. Gameplay wasn’t interesting or new.
I played Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet. Nice little metroidvania.
MGSV is still addicting. No shock there.
Forsaken on a Pentium II and Voodoo 2 SLI.
Runs like a dream and beats the Voodoo 3 hands down.
Payday 2. Went infamy 11. Yay.
