What Game Did You Play Today?

Good to know it’s still possible. I myself have tried a lot of times, and have always been very close, but never succeeded yet.

If it’s harder I’d say it’s good in a sense, because it makes things more interesting and challenging (unfortunately not rewarding :/), but also frustrating. It’s so annoying right now that I simply gave up, better wait a a few seconds than get angry after a couple of failed attempts…

Before the update though I remember that it was very easy, I have always managed to pull off every time from the first attempt.

I finished the Fallout 4 expansion Far Harbor, so I screwed around in the Dishonored Dunwall City Trials DLC and I played MGSV for about 15 minutes to try out a new weapon that was added to the singleplayer.

The new MGSV revolver is really cool, btw. Ricochets off surfaces towards nearest enemy and such.

I’ve been playing the first Borderlands a lot lately. Finished the first DLC today.
Skipping the second one though because it’s kinda mostly multiplayer oriented, and I’m not much for multiplayer.

Likewise, been playing through more Borderlands. Level 25 atm and I still suck at the game. RPG’s and MMORPG’s have always overwhelmed me when it comes to item choices and what’s “best”.

I don’t own the second one but I had heard been reading that although it’s a better game overall, it does lean more on the multiplayer side which is a shame because I don’t think I’d enjoy the experience.

I think Borderlands 2 is definitely the best of the trio right now. And yes, it does have a bit more of a multiplayer focus, but don’t let that fool you. It’s a 100% playable, enjoyable experience in singleplayer. Maybe even better.

More Dark Souls. Non-NG+ Manus wasn’t too bad. Kalameet, though, he’s going to be tough.

EDIT: I bought Overwatch today. Breddy gud.

So I got a box of games/junk from a yard sale down the street and in it was CoD Advanced Warfare. After playing it again for the first time in a year and a half, i realized I actually like the story for this game, and the missions in general, wayyyyy more than most of the CoDs after CoD3.

Played Point of View from start to finish today.

Buy I gotta admit, I was amazed to see that the last updates the GoldSrc games received didn’t break it, I guess they were not as bad, mod wise, as I thought.

I had a 100% bugless experience, beside the awesomeness of the mod itself.

Bioshock. This game is an absolute masterpiece, I can’t believe I waited so long to play it since I’ve owned it for ages.

I’ve come to the conclusion you don’t know pain until you’ve tried to beat Alice: Madness Returns on Nightmare.

Much, much Overwatch. I finally grok Mercy. She’s not quite like the Medic from TF2, even though she looks it. She’s a lot weaker, but a lot more mobile. If you keep most of your team in sight, you can fly all over the place and keep them all healed.

I gave up on finishing Peace Walker yesterday. The tedium of the mission structure and no real presentation got to me. So I started and finished Ground Zeroes instead and just watched Peace Walker’s true ending on youtube.

I liked PW up until the last few missions before the “true ending”. At that point, I had lost most interest. However, it’s still one of my favorite MGS games, second to MGS3.

Been playing a little bit of DooM’s multiplayer. It’s not so bad really. It’s very arena-shooter like, and the weapons are pretty well balanced from the Beta. Super shotguns still a dick gun, but it’s manageable now.

Yeah, that’s where I stopped too. I do love MGS3’s gameplay tho (even if I do prefer 2’s mindfuck story).

Downloaded Bioshock Infinite from my Steam library for when I finish Bioshock 2. Ended up just playing through the whole game. Whoops?

I already spoiled the game for myself shortly after it’s release so none of the plottwists threw me. Regardless it was a very very fun game, though at times it didn’t feel like Bioshock. Where as each power in Bio 1 and 2 sort of felt unique and different, eventually lots of the powers in Infinite just felt…almost same-ey. I could use murder of crows or shock jockey or bucking bronco or devils kiss. Doesn’t really matter in the end.
Waiting for the DLC to go on sale, then I’ll grab them.

I personally loved Murder of Crows the best out of them all, but I get where you’re coming from with the same-y bit.

I’m craving some Dishonored cause I watched the gameplay from E3. Maybe I’ll go pick it up for PS4. Maybe PC if it’s cheap.

I used MoC here and there since I kept swapping powers throughout just because I could. With all the upgrades it’s pretty awesome. Functions as a stun/distraction, does decent damage and also forms traps for future incoming enemies. They were sort of the only traps I used. Occasionally used shock jockey traps because they actually spread in a decent area but stuff like devils kiss and bucking bronco traps I rarely used outside of the 1-2 experimental times.

Dishonored is an excellent game, I highly recommend it (are you talking about Dishonored 1 or just speaking for the future of when you’ll get Dishonored 2?). Really fun to play and as someone who initially went in going “man I bet this is just some bioshock rip off”, I was pleasantly surprised and rewarded that it wasn’t. I’d also suggest picking up the DLC (knife of dunwall and the brigmore witches). It will/does tie into the Dishonored 2 story and is possibly even better than the base game.

I’ve played the first one, but I sold it awhile back cause it was just gathering dust. After watching the second ones gameplay trailers and such, I got a yearning to play it again, particularly the DLC. I loved knife of Dunwall. I honestly enjoyed his powers/story better than Corvo’s.

I’m playing through Saints Row the Third again, even though I finished it about 3 days ago.
Spent a solid 2 hours just making my character, including ingame clothes.

I spend way too much time making characters.

Me in so many games, especially highly customisable MMO’s (Blade and Soul for example). Jeez it takes me forever to finish up and even START the game…

My game played today - Dead Space 1. It’s been a few years since I’ve played it now. It’s more enjoyable than I remember, but that’s probably also due to me getting better at third person shooters and sort of knowing where the jump scares are roughly. I’ll move on to 2 once I’m done, since I haven’t actually played that yet.
