Apparently an intuitive control scheme is for noobs
I bought it mainly for DayZ
I found a button to salute by accident. There’s even a button to sit down cross legged.
Wat.
@ Manky- I intend to try out Day Z as well, but I figured I might as well try the base game since I do like the more realistic shooters as well. Rainbow Six/ Rogue Spear, Ghost Recon, etc.
Probably the only reason I haven’t tried DayZ yet is because I don’t own/don’t want to own ArmA
There’s supposed to be a free version out there someplace.
Yeah but you need an expansion called operation arrowhead or something like that.
Just wait for the standalone version of DayZ.
Had some good matches in MWLL. Love my quadruple UAC5s
Try playing Dwarf Fortress once in a while.
Need to build a wall? The keys you press to do that are B, C, W, then place your wall, resize it with UMKH if you need, then hit enter, navigate to the materials you want to make it out of, then hit enter again.
The controls for Arma 2 are pretty daunting at first but you get used to it after a while. I bought it for Day Z too but I’ve played a bit of the campaign. Haven’t played multiplayer yet because I don’t think I’m good enough. I actually love the mechanic where you can turn your head independent of your body/aim. It allows you to run in one direction and still look pretty easily around you without turning in that direction.
Eh. I can pretty much do that already with conventional controls.
Well, fuck. Just found out their are multiple endings to SoC and I basically got the worst one.
There are like 5 bad (or false really) ones and 2 good ones. Did you get the money ending? I got that my first time too. There’s not too much to spend money on after a while.
Yeah, now I loaded an earlier save and I’m doing the actual story quests, lol.
That was like the ultimate troll ending when you don’t know there’s multiple endings
SoC. I went back to do [COLOR=‘Black’]the real ending. It was pretty cool going back to the place I had been before, because I had to remember where to go, and it slowly came back to me as I wondered the abandoned place at night
Haha yeah I got the money ending the first time too, before I learned there was another ending.
First time I played Metro 2033, I actually got the good ending without even realizing I’d done enough of the perquisites. I was genuinely surprised, and in a very good way at that.
That said, it was very obvious that I’d just gotten a ‘good’, alternate ending, and it took me out of the story a lot. The same thing happened with Bioshock.
Just beat Stalker, this time with the good ending.
Time to install Clear Sky.
Wargames: European Escalation.
If there were any RTS game that needed formation options, it would be this one. God damn it does this game need it.
Fuckin’ tanks rollin’ along leaving behind the Anti-Air, getting raped by fuckin’ Cobras.
Silent Hill. It takes hours but it’s brilliant (if you’re familliar with SH) and hard as fuck.
