What Game Did You Play Today?

Persona 4: Golden. Good God, Persona 4: Golden. I loved the original on PS2 and the Vita version has cleaner graphics, new voice acting, new storylines, new dungeon content. So yeah, get that. It’s the best RPG I’ve ever played, bar none, and you get to play the updated port before I do, which is something I’ll forever envy you for.

Be aware though- the game can really kick the shit out of you, difficulty wise. Don’t feel bad about using a guide. Or three (like I did).

Europa Universalis IV

Definitely learned some lessons the hard way. Don’t try to expand your territory as fast as your fingers allow. Your people will end up hating you and revolt in every city you could possibly imagine. Your enemies will take advantage of this chaos and invade your entire realm, leaving you no choice but to cede your annexed territory back to the people that wanted to join with you in the first place, so now they’re mad at me as well. Thus ends my venture as Spain.

I am now playing as Muscovy and am currently having a much better time. Lithuania has stopped riding my ass and the Islamic nations to the south are being surprisingly kind to me. The Ottomans still scare the fuck out of me, though. Currently trying to conquer Novgorod, but they are currently allied with Lithuania, making it difficult to wage another war with them. I think I’ll annihilate Crimea and try and team up with Georgia to destroy everyone else.

I think I only managed to complete one mission completely undetected. It only happened when I gave up and started using Dark Vision. Early on I was trying to avoid it because it was Wallhacks: The Power and felt really cheap.

Played some DMC4. I always see people doing crazy stuff in these games but one thing I noticed is that the character moves painfully slow. If an enemy isn’t right next to you after killing one enemy it’s hard to chain combos together. Maybe it’s just because I don’t have any skills hardly to make stuff like that easier.

Back to some ME3 Multiplayer. Kinda fleshed out my favorite character’s (Quarian Female Infiltrator) name and story… So how it’s not “haha”, but “Sar’Neda vas Neema nar Iktomi”…

Always had a thing for names starting with S…

Im playing ME3 finally. It’s now my favorite out of the 3 games.

Finished Assassin’s Creed.

It crashed just as I landed the last hit in the final battle, had to replay the last section from the beginning of the area…

Binding of Isaac. Very addicting.

Guacamelee for the Vita. Incredibly good and funny.

Rogue Legacy, which is extremely addictive. At the same time, when I play this game, I acutely feel that I’m playing a game when I could be doing something more productive. No suspension of disbelief, I guess.

Bioshock Infinite. Wasn’t going to initially but at 20 dollars it’s a bargain, so I got it.

I’ll be honest, I don’t really like the Vigors at all. :S

^i only liked a couple.

I just beat ME3…I actually kinda got choked up at the ending. Feel trip.

Yeah, the vigors were honestly a bit clumsy. The only one I really used a lot was undertow, which is just perfect for knocking people off the edge of the city.

I liked the murder of crows one, devils kiss (since it was kinda like a grenade), and the horse one (since a couple enemies are easy to handle when you use that one)

Murder of Crows and Shock jockey works great together, especially with crow trap aid. Switching shock jockey with devil’s kiss isn’t as pleasing. Undertow is great with a fully upgraded shotgun and upgraded return to sender is great in 1999 Mode when you’re low on ammo.
Possession when you’re up against a strong enemy and several weak ones. Bucking Bronco and charge is a fun combo, but not really worth it.
I find use to every vigor, but some combos are just superior to others. Both Bucking Bronco and Charge is kind of lacklusters.

Batman Arkham Origins. Got this game at Amazon during Thanksgiving for $20. It is a really fun game despite a couple of minor bugs I’ve encountered such as the gliding bug and the glitch where several enemies would stand around doing nothing before I attacked them. Luckily, I only encountered the latter one once.

Been playing Saints Row IV. I think I have played one mission after escaping from the simulation and then going back in. Possibly two. It’s been quite enjoyable. I like snatching up those upgrade clusters a little too much I think…

Saints Row IV, just beat a couple of Shaundi loyalty missions. I love the “romance” options with crew members, especially Kinzy.

“Hey Kinzy, wanna fuck?”

Kinzy punches player

“Let’s do this.”

I should post pics of my three saints characters so far. They are vastly different (mostly because I couldn’t get my Saints the Third character to look anything like my Saints 2 character, and went in a completely different direction in IV just because of that).

That sounds like the best parody of Mass Effect relationship mechanics ever made. I have to try a SR game someday.

Thanks to a certain man’s calibrations, ME romances practically parody themselves.
