What Game Did You Play Today?

I only used the Onyx armors (those with N7 on chestplate) for Shepard, and whatever armor names my squad had, just higher levels of it, and upgraded to Medium/Heavy where applicable. Some kept their original until the end… Tali, for example. It was actually easier playing Vanguard biotic with the Barrier than a Soldier, I admit.

It worked. With Spectre Master Gear, I dispatched everyone before they could touch my shields anyway.

I think Infiltrator was my favorite. Loved the slow mo sniper rifle power.

Ooooh, yeah, Tacticool cloak

Love playing Quarian Infiltrator in MP because of the cloak and sniper rifle. Only got female Quarians so far though. Damn males are rares. And they don’t have the powers I’m used to now from female Infiltrator (Sticky Grenade, Tacticool Cloak, AI Hacking).

Also, is it just me, or do most people go for Humans? I mean come on, Quarians are super cool, and I’d go for Quarian Adept, if they had ANY biotics. They don’t, so my Adept is an Asari…

Also, with activating the MP stuff, I apparently got a lot of locked characters, and a gift pack that unlocked… Geth Juggernaut. Orpheon, how long were you hunting to get that guy? I think I’m so damn lucky, that thing has over 4000 Health/Shields.

Bah, kids today with their damn multiplayer.

Yeeeeah. I wouldn’t really start playing it, if I didn’t want my EMS to climb through percentage…

P.S.: Just realized where your avatar is pointing. Good one!

I didn’t mind it being tedious, but there’s being complex and then there’s being disorganized and unhelpful. I wouldn’t mind the inventory if it was organized better. Heck, they could have kept it in one long list if they wanted as long as they had some kind of stacking.

I don’t think humans as a whole are overly favored in MP, but I think some classes are overly favored, some of which happen to be humans. For example, I see a lot of Destroyers, Furies, and Slayers, some Demolishers, and some human vanguards, but very few human engineers, soldiers, infiltrators, or sentinels. Likewise I also see many asari adepts and justicar adepts, but few asari infiltrators, sentinels, or vanguards. I think most races are well represented, but some less than others. There aren’t as many salarians, drell, or batarians as there are the rest (even the volus, which is quite humorous to me considering they’re one of the least warlike races).

And you’re quite lucky, Serza. I’d been trying to get the juggernaut since the Reckoning DLC came out, February 26th. Well over a month. I got the Cabal female turian vanguard in my free pack, and I never use her. Just not very good at all IMO. Now that I have the juggernaut though…well he’s still very good, but I find he’s just not as fun as I had hoped. The krogan warlord, for example, which came out at the same time, is almost as durable but way more fun than the juggernaut. But the juggernaut is just a bit more beastly at tanking, mainly because of his sync-kill invulnerability. Krogans, especially the warlord, would be almost as good if they had that. But they don’t, so the juggernaut still has his place for me. The only characters I have left to get now are the Talon merc and the geth engineer. I’m looking forward to the Talon, I’ve seen people just wreck everybody’s faces with that guy.

Hmm, interesting. And yes, I see many Humans in every role, but only every now and then some non-human race. Reason why personally I don’t play Humans at all.

Myself, I just love to play Quarian Infiltrator. Actually got a Mantis V drop today, and still keep laughing at the fact it’s stats put it levelled with the Black Widow, which is helluva lot heavier… Also it’s a bit funny, because IMHO, they gave me the best sniper rifle as a default.

Still think there should be a Quarian male Soldier. Because they can, and because Kal’Reegar.

Don’t be fooled by the bars, they are misleading at best, and don’t tell you the whole story. Mantis is far inferior to Black Widow in pretty much every way except weight. BW has 3 shots per clip compared to 1 for Mantis. BW has much better damage than Mantis, especially versus armor. Try shooting an Atlas or Brute with a Mantis and then with a Black Widow, and see the difference. It also has natural cover penetration, meaning guardians are practically defenseless against it, along with any trooper who hides behind thin cover.

And there is a quarian male soldier. Quarian marksman soldier. Powers are Marksman, Tactical Scan, and Sabotage.

Mhm. Well since you put it that way, I’ll give it a try then.

Also, I must’ve missed that one in the character list, thanks.

To follow up on this, it’s free Gold weekend on Xbox live, and so I decided to try out ACIII multiplayer. I’m not really impressed with it, though. Seems a little out of place, for one, and for another, it’s just not done as well as I would have liked. I wasn’t expecting to see swordfights between players or something, but it just feels a bit off.

My roommates bought Injustice: Gods Among Us for Xbox, so I played some of that today. Not much of a comic book fan, but I have to say it’s a fun fighting game. I like the way you can use parts of the stage to hit your opponent. Plus it’s got a good voice cast and a pretty interesting story mode.

Also been replaying Chrono Trigger on emulator. Always fun to play the classics now and then.

Playing some Opposing Force on my laptop. Should I install the HD pack?

I’m really not all that fond of the HD pack myself. The Beretta is malformed, the M4 doesn’t feel right, and the shotgun hurts my ears.

If you’re looking for a change, maybe check out Opposing Force Redux.

Gonna have to agree with this, especially the bit about the shotgun. The pump sound is horrendous :fffuuu:

I’m starting to hate this laptop. I tried to install Op4 off my Blue Shift disc when it worked fine on my desktop, but it kept giving me errors, then Blue Shift keeps saying it can’t find Palette.lmp. :rage:

Steam version FTW…

The advantage is so massive, IMHO, that I was even willing to get all my ArmA games on Steam, despite having every single one as a retail from all the way when they came out…

For example, my Arrowhead DVD stopped working for no reason, and I had to prove to BIstore’s support that I own it to get a digi download install exe. No problem now… :stuck_out_tongue:

So, yeah, while a DVD is still somewhat special, it’s also much more fault intolerant.

I played, and finished, BioShock Infinite. Dear God, what an amazing trip.

Downloaded and played some NetHack. Got to the third level of the dungeon before drinking from a fountain and getting killed by a water demon hiding in it.

Beat Fire Emblem Awakening today. Couldn’t beat the last two Spotpass missions because they were too frackking difficult, but I beat the final level without losing anybody in 3 turns. Is there something wrong here?

Beat the story mode of Injustice today. Fairly short but quite good. I liked it a lot.
