What Game Did You Play Today?

Haven’t played anything in almost a week oddly enough

Just got to the Mythril Mine in FFVII. First time playing this in a while, trying to work up the will to more seriously attempt to complete the game.

I haven’t played FF7 in a while. Now I’m curious if i still have all the texture packs and custom model mods on my computer somewhere.

:fffuuu:

was playing Dishonored, without killing anyone, but I still liked to neutralize every enemy so that I can stroll around freely. so on the dunwall tower mission, I was knocking them out and then dropping them down the trash shoot so they’d be far away, no one would find them. after tediously taking out the whole 2nd floor and half the 3rd, I decided to get that power that turns guys to dust when you kill them, and then I noticed that when I dropped a sleeping guy down the trash shoot, he turned to dust

god dammit

can you play that game with in-your-face stabbitude or is it like deus ex where not crouching means you’re bad and dumb

Yeah you can pretty much do whatever the fuck you want and its cool

I took some time to beat Gravity Bone and Thirty Flights of Loving. It’s not like it took that much time, but I couldn’t tell if that means I have good taste in indy games or that I wasted my five dollars on a half hour experience.

Tell you this much; there’s no way I’m paying $10 for Dear Esther. Screw dat, I just watched it played on YouTube.

Imho, Gravity Bone was the better experience of the two, as they really should have flushed out the established mechanics (platforming sections and all) to create a fully fleshed out experience that could take more than a few hours to go through. Nope. It ends abruptly… It made me sad, as I loved the direction it was going in.

Thirty Flights of Loving was there just to mess with your head, lacking anything resembling game mechanics.

Other games to note that I’ve beaten recently: Super Mario RPG: The Legend if the Seven Stars for SNES; Not the greatest Mario game I’ve ever been through, but certainly not the worst (Mario is Missing). An enjoyable experience though incredibly dated. Army Men: Air Attack for PSone; A decent game with some abrupt difficulty spikes that jar playability of the title. DynaBlade for SNES; A minigame within Kirby Superstar. An excellent, but shortlived romp through Kirby’s world. Looking forward to the other one’s.

Played the training missions and the first 2 campaign missions of Space Hulk VOTBA (Space Hulk 2) on the hardest difficulty.

On the second mission I ended up losing my squad one by one until I was backed into a sealed door with an endless amount of genestealers pouring my way, while my guy was shouting taunts as I mowed them down until my bolter jammed and they overran me.

This game dynamically becomes so much like Aliens it’s not even funny. I love it.

I just wish I could get the multiplayer to work on Windows 7 though :frowning:

I haven’t tried Thirty Flights of Loving, only Gravity Bone. I did get that for free, though, from the developer’s website. It’s a decent experience overall, but it got frustrating at times. Like when I forgot one bird and I had to restart the entire game. It does only take ten minutes to beat, and I agree it should’ve been longer and slightly more substantial. At least the ending sort of makes sense, [color=’#171717’]you get shot repeatedly, you fall off the building, you die.
It’s decent, but I just don’t know if it’s something worth money.
EDIT: HTML colours fuck yes

playing surgeon sim 2013 its pretty rad but i keep losing the heart in the ambulance

Played some Freespace 2 and Sam & Max Episode 104 (which I recently discovered is free)

Dead Space 2.

It probably has the best sound design out of any game I’ve played.

Fallout Online with a friend

This whole training session where you play as a slave for 5 levels is really fucking hard for a training session, and some of the quests are monotonous (Shovel shit? Chop wood??)

But we’re still doing it because hopefully once you get out of the slave camp you can actually start playing the damn game.

Fallout Online is actually a thing?

There’s an MMO for pretty much everything.

Firefly online even exists, though it doesn’t seem to be very far along.

(Also, congrats on 5,000 posts, Maxey.)

A little bit into another playthrough of FEAR. Someone seriously needs to make a spiritual successor, even if it’s not a horror game. I just want more of FEAR 1’s gameplay.

-snip-

double post - not sure what happened there

Played Space Hulk on the hardest difficulty attempting one of the “classic” missions from the board game.

Held out pretty well for a while despite a really bad start where 2 squad mates died, but a bad movement decision at the end cost me the mission :frowning:

Too bad the one for The Matrix died. Heard it was pretty good too.

Dwarf Fortress.

Yeah.
