What Game Did You Play Today?

Finished Postal 2. According to the end stats there’s a chainsaw in the game but I for some reason didn’t find it.

More Stalker: LA. My aim is abysmal… but I’m really enjoying it.

Metro 2033, screen tearing like no tomorrow. Attempts to get vsync on through the cfg files isnt working sadly. Not sure how else to force vsync, I suck at these things.

You should be able to force vsync through your GPU’s control panel. I think the config file edit should work though. Metro 2033’s config file that it reads is in a weird place though so you might not be editing the right one. See

I am re-playing “Crysis 3” game, for the first time. Damn, this game is so good.

Finished Deus Ex HR. It was great.

I have to admit, I really didn’t see that twist with Eliza coming.

And I loved all the Half-Life references in the emails at Omega Ranch.

Just started playing the Skyrim Dawnguard questline for the first time and just found Serana. Now I realize that this questline will probably suck.

“Oh, Hi! I’m a vampire hunter out to kill vampires and you’re a vampire. Perhaps I shouldn’t kill you or bring you back to our fort for questioning. Instead I shall bring you to your father, a vampire lord, who live in a giant castle filled with vampires.”

EDIT: Just have show this. I went to Dawnstar to stay the night at the inn and when I arrived a courier handed me this inheritance letter.

Poor Vampire, he was my best friend. :frowning:

I started playing The Witcher: Enhanced Editon several days ago. So far, I don’t really like it that much. It seems kind of boring to me. I will keep playing it very soon.

Anyway, I finished playing The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and I just started playing The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. Will play Oracle of Ages as soon as I finish the former Oracle game.

The questline’s pretty good, I thought, though Serana’s relationship with her father is decidedly strange.

I was actually really surprised by the depth of the conversations you can have with Serana. She’s got some impressive dialogue trees, and remembers how nice you’ve been to her.

Restarted Lost Alpha after installing the new patch. The AA is broken now but I found a few lod related commands to improve framerate at least so my GPU isn’t at 99% usage at all times. Still get random framerate drops though but they’re minimal.

I just got to the Agroprom Underground and was killed by a burer in the first room.

Chapter 1 can be pretty dull. The game gets better later on.

AA was broken for me right from the start - after trying a few things to get it working I eventually just injected SMAA through SweetFX (with all the other postprocessing disabled).

It was working for me before but then when I reinstalled to use the new patch it doesn’t work anymore. And doing some searching shows it was rather recent that that happened. I tried smaa and fxaa but both of them caused massive performance drops for some reason.

I’m in no doubt that it will overall be somehow adequate, when I use the word “suck” in this context I mostly just use it as a way to generalize the bigger picture.
It’s just completely illogical for me how this scene played out. It would have been much better if your choice to stay a vampire hunter or to become a vampire lord would have been determined right there by either taking her to Fort Dawnguard or Castle Volkihar.
The way the current story unfolds wouldn’t allow it, but that should had been changed already at the planning stage in my honest opinion.

I guess it’s the best way they could think of to introduce players to both the Dawnguard and Harkon.

Literally yesterday I was telling myself “Tomorrow I feel like they’re gonna patch it up to 1.3003 or something”. Lo and behold, they did. I should get into the psychic business.

I haven’t played since I finished the Agroprom underground, so I just patched and restarted.

Goddammit now I have to start a new game again.

Red Faction: Guerilla.

So, the game won’t let you save unless you sign into GFWL. Help?

Been playing Shovel Knight a bit lately. It’s a really fun platformer with nice sprites, tight controls, and good music. I’d recommend it to anyone who likes Megaman or Metroidvania games, or just retro games in general.

Is GFWL not working properly for you? Or do you just want to avoid using it? :stuck_out_tongue:

I ran the game a few weeks ago and was eventually able to log-in after updating GFWL and waiting ages for it to download my profile information. Slow and clunky, but it still works.

I’m still waiting for the 3DS release. Not that I wouldn’t play it on PC, sidescrollers just work better on DS.

More Wolfenstein: The New Order.

…Stupid way to die.
