What Game Did You Play Today?

I’m rather surprised to read this. I mean, you have to hold down a trigger just to be able to run properly? It just sounds like it’s awful, particularly compared to Colors and Generations. Still interested to see what you think, though.

I’d love to play Minerva, but for the last 24 hours Steam has been telling me “No Steam content servers are currently configured to deliver content for this game”. :frowning:

So I played HL:Uplink instead. It was short and not all that fun, tbh. Strangely enough, after beating Half-Life for the first time, followed by Someplace Else, I want more Xen!

Played some Fire Emblem Awakening because I don’t have Pokémon X or Y yet… :frowning:

You know it was only a month or so ago it was even added to steam? Just download it from Adam Foster’s website.

The version on Adam Foster’s website is the not the Director’s Cut with “tweaked visuals, bug fixes, better puzzles and all kinds of subtle improvements.” I’d rather my first playthrough be that. I guess I’ll just wait until Steam addresses the issue. I opened a support ticket, followed every bit of advice I could find on resolving it on my end, but Steam’s servers are still denying me my Minerva.

Instead I played The Stanley Parable, which was INCREDIBLE.

Finished Stalker last night and started playing Dark Souls again. Still stuck on the Ornstein and Smough fight.

Kerbal Space Program.

I landed on the Mun, but my rocket tipped over and starting rolling down a slope, so I had to take samples and plant a flag while it was rolling away and then catch up with my jet pack.

I ran out of fuel on the way back up, tragically.

I just bought the iPad port of Walking Dead and wow this is different

I love these easter eggs

Been playing KOTOR for the first time. Like a lot of older games it was hard to get into at first with the dated controls and mechanics, but once I got the hang of it I loved it. I just wish there was more cool looking gear. Half of the armor and all of the headgear I get is just plain ugly and/or dumb-looking.

I also picked up a Wind Waker Wii U bundle so I’ve been playing Wind Waker HD. This game is beautiful. The bright cel-shaded color scheme and simple designs look gorgeous in HD. I had never really considered WW among my favorite Zelda games, but I have seriously reconsidered based on the new graphics alone. And on that note, I just realized Skyward Sword is a Wii-only title. So when I get around to playing that one, it’s gonna be a bit of a step backward. sigh I would play it on Dolphin (which made Twilight Princess look much much better), but unfortunately it looks to have a lot of problems. Why can’t consoles with backwards compatibility offer any sort of graphical improvements like an emulator can? Is it simply processing power?

Played some KSP with the interstellar mod. Getting the necessary amount of science to even make the Alcubierre Drive usable is a pain in the ass.

I spent $800,000 upgrading my weapons in Saints Row: The Third last night. When I was finished with that I played another four missions just to get some money back. I have most recently defeated the zombie menace that threatened Steelport.

I like to play infinite undiscovery whenever I am free. But today I try half life too. I think it is good to try different games when we have extra time. If you have some other your favorite games to talk about then please share it.

sniffs

Do I smell a bot?

A bot that plays “Infinite Undiscovery?” Interesting taste…

I don’t know, either a bot, or somebody whose primary language is not english.

In retrospect, it DOES remind me of my schoolmates’ english…

Playing MINERVA, after 3 days of hair-pulling and tested patience. I even emailed Adam Foster, who was kind enough to take time out of his day to help on the VALVe end to get a fix applied. Turned out it had to do with the move to Steampipe.

I’m about 30 minutes into the game. This shit is HARD.

I just beat Saints Row: The Third. I think I may need to buy Saints 4 in the Steam winter sale this year.

What next? Bioshock? Stalker: Call Of Pripyat? Just Cause? Find out Wednesday.

If you’ve played the first Stalker game already go for CoP.

I managed to kill Smough in the Dark Souls fight but I got killed by giant Ornstein.

I have played Shadows Of Chernobyl and Clear Skies (CS sucks). But every time I start Pripyat, when I get to the first event I stop playing for some reason. Three times now. I don’t get it.
