For some reason I always thought the age group on this forum ranged from around 15 and up.
Explains a lot, mostly the spelling.
I chuckled as I read this… I wonder how many of us played the game while little ones were sitting on our laps. =-D
That’s really sad.
To be honest I don’t believe him either.
i dont get how me saying i was pro first person shooter is sad?? and if its the time it took me to beat it… i was also looking for sectrets i wasnt just running through the game i stoped to look for exstra ammo here or exstra hp there
The fact that you called yourself a ‘pro FPS’ is sad. Very, very sad.
Firstly, ‘pro’ is short for ‘professional’, so exactly how much money were you earning in your pro gaming career?
Secondly, 7 hours is the average completion time for people playing HL2:ep2, and the original HL was way, waaaaay longer than any one HL2 episode.
episode 2 took le mike 4 hrs and by pro i ment i was good with a FPS game id play css and have a kill death record of like 5:1
I played around 10. :l Good times. But a jack-ass like me played half life 2 first.
I was 12 years old and I got stuck straight away as I didn’t expect I could break windows in the game lol. Thought too much of ‘Doom’, and I was so used to colour card keys etc.
Can’t wait for black mesa source.
Actually, the last time I played HL1 I beat it in 7 hours (at least that’s what Steam said )
I’m guessing that wasn’t your first time.
First played it in 2004, my bro was telling me about CS, we went into a game shop and got HL Anthology (Doesn’t come with CS), the guys behind the desk said “Aren’t you sure you don’t want Half-Life2 or at least Half-Life: Source?” And I stuck to my guns and said I wanted the Anthology, as I walked out the store with my new game I heard him and another customer crack up laughing.
I knew my laptop could never ever play a Source game
I made a good choice XD stupid gaming shop clerks.
EDIT:
That’s so sweet, I do that with my neice with GTA:VC and with my girlfriend on TF2 X_X
I think it was 2003 or 2004. My friend gave me his old Half-Life platinum collection, which included Opposing Force and Blue Shift. I was 12 at the time.
Since I was four I used to sit on my dads knee and watch him play half life and I did not understand it at all. I was a bit scared of the zombies though even though their not really scary. I started playing when I was 6 and I finished the game but my dad could not get past the tentacle.
When I was 6…OMG!!! lol
I was around 11 in 2000 and I had a friend who had HL1. I kept forgetting what the game was called at the time but it gave a lasting impression during the few times I played it. The beginning tram ride leading to the breakdown of Black Mesa and The Nihilanth (I called it a giant metal baby at the time) were what stuck with me until I bumped into the Anthology a few years after HL2 was released, where I finally got to play through the whole experience.
You were 2006 years old when you first played Half Life ? Who are you ? Jesus ?
I was 3 :freeman:
I didn’t want to go in the test chamber though
Oh lawds.
Ummm… well, let’s see. I got it for christmas in 2003, after having been introduced to it by a friend earlier that year. That would’ve made me… 14?
