And of course, it’s precomputed stuff, but still stunning (so we are in agreement). So yeah, the engine’s lighting could do with some work, but the BM team is doing a damn good job making use of the resources available.

Huh. I actually love the shadows in Source. The only problem I have with them is the confliction between world cast shadows and player cast ones.

I was meaning the dynamic shadows need work. You know, the cheap render-to-texture ones not the pre-computed lightmaps.

i mean… it’s a pretty massive task… ending off this story arc… having an ending revealing enough to satisfy fans without being dissapointingly cliche… and having something that the fans will believe was worth waiting for…
i can see them quivering in their boots coming launch day… whenever that may be
Plus with the conclusion of this story arc comes the the daunting concept of a whole new story arc…
