So, what do you think? Will valve deliver and please all the die hard Half-Life fans with Episode three as their next game? Or, will they try some Portal 2? Oooor, feed the cash cow with Left 4 Dead 3 :stuck_out_tongue: ???

I’ll start, I think Episode 3 is still quite far off, so Portal 2 isn’t a bad guess. Also, can’t be something completely new, or they would release media advertising it far before release, like was done with the first Left 4 Dead.

They already canceled everything to work on L4D 3. I thought everyone knew.

From what I remember they never said portal 2. It’s just that everyone is assuming it because “valve said” there there would be no half life this year, and everyone is expecting some sort of large release some time this year.

I will cry deeply if the next game is L4D3, though the concept of a L4D4 just amused me for some reason.

It’d be awesome if it turned out they are releasing it this year… and release absolutely NO info till the day it goes gold… then BAM!.. MEGA media releases, previews left right and center, building a massive hype train over a week or two… unfortunately i can’t think of a single game that has done this… although i tend to forget the pre-hype of games after the event of actually playing them… so there might be several good examples…

more likely: crappy L4D2 DLC and no full games whatsoever

I thought I heard rumors of Counter Strike 2.
But of course I can’t even remember the context or what was said, but it’s an interesting prospect.
