Mod for Warcraft 3 if you really don’t know…
I’ve never played it but I really like League of Legends which is another DotA style game. LoL is also completely free to play which makes it that much more awesome.
Meh, never liked the Warcraft games that much.
My friend has Warcraft and said “wow come and over and see my awsum game!”
He clicked some bad guys lots of times and clicked some glowing things lots of times for about an hour, then he was the winner.
I couldn’t possibly relate more… I love age of empires 1 and 2 though.
Regarding EP3 and Episode as a whole… They already stated that Episode probably wasn’t the right move as far as naming goes. I’m pretty sure HL2.1 and 2.2 would have done just as well, lol. As for EP3, I’m pretty sure they already said somewhere (I said somewhere, don’t know where exactly, so don’t go “SOURCE OR IT DIDN"T HAPPEN”-ing me, and YES, I may be mistaken) that EP3 is going to be longer than either episode 1 or 2.
Now onto pure speculation: Valve’s work on Source weather in TF2 was probably their way of testing how well it would work for use in EP3, considering we’ll be in the arctic.
Considering that it’s still under wraps so long after HL2 came out, I would guess that you’re right: it probably will be longer, or at least significantly shinier.

The contrast between potential success and failure of such a game is staggering.

I couldn’t stand Age of Empires 1 or 3, but 2 was amazing IMO.
As for Valve…I think Episode 3 will be the next actual game out. I highly doubt there will be a Left 4 Dead 3 out very soon (besides, isn’t that made by the Turtle Rock team anyways?), but there may be some updates or DLC for other games like TF2.

I predict TF2 updates, DLC for L4D2 and 1, Portal 2 media in some form, and hopefully, at least a trailer for episode 3. I can’t wait to see what happens next to Gordon and Alyx. Plus I want to see the Borealis in a blizzard, dammit!
I never DID get what was wrong with calling Episode 1 HL2: Aftermath.
They could’ve had Aftermath episodes… would’ve made sense…
And DIABLO was the most addictive pointing-at-and-clicking-enemies-to-win game in my experience. I liked Age of Empires one, but 2 and 3, just not a fan of the medieval or new-world aesthetic. Empire: Total War does a good job of it though.
AoE 1: Rise of Rome is one of the best games ever made… EVAH! I still play it from time to time.

well if episode 1 was aftermath what would you call episode 2 ? citadel aftermath ? … also… it doesn’t make sense to call ep1 aftermath because hl2 was the aftermath of what happened in black mesa so basically it’s an aftermath of the aftermath to some extent
they just stuck with the numbered episodes because it sounded better imo
I am actually betting on Team Fortress 3. Hopefully the same ‘cartoony’ feel and better graphics AND actually keep it updated for the xboxers.
There will not be a TF3 for a long time, and they shall not keep it updated for ex-boxers.
