Wow, totally ninje’ed.

The next who says, the Source Engine would be old is gonna be kicked in the ass

I can’t wait to play it!

It’s outstanding!

Outstanding, good to go. (red alert 3 quote)

old sauce engine is old

This, this, and this again.

Portal 2 looks like MORE than a followup to Portal 2.

And on a separate note, GLaDOS is a lot more creepy without her morality core. :fffuuu:

EDIT: Yeah, the thing with Source is that they don’t release a new one, they just update it.

How can a game follow up on itself?

I think he meant a follow up to Portal. Hopefully Portal 2 is more than an hour and half long…

Portal 2 is gonna be “significantly longer” than Portal 1

Portal 2 is still in the Half-Life universe, right?

Yeah, and now all the team will be busy for two years porting Steam and other games to run and auto-update on PS3. Goodbye, Gordon.

Baseless assumption is baseless.

Yes, but there will be no hints anymore in Portal 2. It’s gonna have his own story.

Oh yeah, I guess, all 225 employees now work on Steam for the PS3. Yeah, of course. You actually know that only a really small team is working on Steam, right? I guess, there are only 10, maximum 15.

You’re so right, they have no time to work on something different…:expressionless:

Also, they’re not porting Steam itself into the PS3, just the Steamworks features like auto-update, Steam Cloud and Chat.

Actually, Doug Lombardi said there were 300 employees working at Valve now, and not every single one of them is working on the same project.

I thought people knew already that Valve’s employees worked as individual project teams, rather than one large unit?

Source already has dynamic shadows, they’re just… Render to Texture. :fffuuu:

Yes, but there seems to be a large concentration of stupidity in this thread.

Seriously, guys, just because Valve is releasing Portal 2 doesn’t mean they stopped working on everything else. Episode 3 is still going to come out, and I bet it’ll be amazing. Quitcher complaining.

Even Crysis has this kind of shadows

“You tested me, I tested you. You killed me, I – oh wait. I guess I haven’t killed you yet. Food for thought.”

Great to see the Portal humor returning.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
