Portal 2 is going to be brilliant, but I still hope valve will be one of the Confidential TBA’s of GameSpot an IGN, with ep3!

Yeah, Portal 2 is truly amazing, I think the surprise was the amount of effort put into the game. An amazing amount.
Portal < Episode 2 < Portal 2 < Episode 3
This is my true beliefs as to how it will be.
I mainly care about the story though, so HL is mostly where my interest is. And HL’s story (and journey) is a lot more interesting imo
but Portal 2 looks like the Uber-game of games
Well, I took a look at it, and I luv it :3. I still want Ep3 though.
My belief is that the four games will/do exist, I will/have play/ed them all, will/have enjoy/ed them all, and I will not worry about which one is better.
Portal 2 will be great. I just wish there was something in there about Episode 3…
And I don’t really care much about the PS3.
Anyway, I find it awesome how they updated Source yet again to look amazing.
Was portal 2 really the surprise? It just can’t be, didn’t they say that Portal wasn’t going to be the surprise? I’m really confused now.
The fact it comes out on the ps3 is the suprise.
portal and half life can’t really be compared even if they are set in the same universe.
half life is purely fictional but portal is surrealistic. half life is a sci fi action packed story while portal is a humorous puzzle game.
but in both games the small refferences of the other one is what makes them even more fascinating

Yeah, that surprise was a little lame. Its like telling a kid that you have a surprise for them you get them all excited and build their hopes up and then turn to some other kid you don’t know and give them a new toy, then tell the first kid “Surprise!”. I have no problem with Portal 2 and the OB being on the PS3, just don’t promise a surprise to someone only for it to be for someone else entirely. :meh:
That’s a good analogy. However, the Portal 2 trailer was definitely the highlight of E3 for me, even if the “real” surprise was it being on the PS3.
