Valve's E3 Suprise?

In the next HL Victor Antonov draws directly on the engine and Marc Laidlaw whispers the characters their lines.

I just watched compared the graphics of portal 2 to half-life 2 episode 2. BIG DIFFERENCE

As you can see from the ingame footage now, the trailer represents the game as it is.

I hate to sound like an grumpy old man… but is this really the surprise… that a sequal comes with updated graphics?!?
About it coming on PS3 aswell… you can’t say that this is a surprise… or is the surprise that it took as long as it did?

…bah, I’m so disappointed. I was looking forward to some real news. :frowning:

So when are Valve’s booths on?

Well, here it’s listed as Portal 2 at Wednesday, 5:00 pm.

Wow, amazing.

So Valves surprise is a portal 2 trailer and that it’s going to be on PS3? that’s a pretty disappointing E3 announcement let alone a “surprise”.

Wow, talk about anti-climax. I am dissapoint. :frowning:

Was this the suprise? Some Portal 2 teaser? WTF that was what we were expecting anyway? I know all the “How they announced Portal 2” crap, but seriously, if this is all they really need to fire that marketing team :\

I think I sufficiently offered my opinion about the surprise over on the steam forums. Seeing how I am not a portal lover, I am a pc gamer not a console gamer, I am a half life fan, and this guy comes out once a year to say something… and this year it is … well…

I am disappointed. That is all.

No one is saying the portal thing was stupid or that anyone is angry about the portal thing. The anger is over the continuing lack of info on the expansion of the original game started over 10 years ago!

I think the remake of HL1 will be delayed 1 year just like HL1.

:expressionless:

Not funny.

You know it does sound stupid the surprise … all of the PC community was going hipe from what the surprise will be and we see that consolers that almost didn’t have a clue about this get a surprise … kinda not what I was hoping for, oh well I’m really looking forward to BM now …

If there’s one good thing about the surprise it’s that the audience went wild the second glaDOS started talking.

bm is ded :stuck_out_tongue:

how did we get two identical threads again?

Merging in 3…2…1…

U fogot teh sauce.
