Valve's E3 Suprise?

Every single texture in HL2 and episodes has normal maps…

^ Not every one, but most of them.

And it’s not like you’d really be able to see normal maps very well from the videos anyway.

i was talking about original hl2 and portal, but even then ep1 has not much more than hl2, dont knwo about ep 2 never played it. Watch the hd video , you can clearly see those are all just flat textures, it was hard to tell from teh debut trailer, but the gameplay ones leave no doubt.
also gman build all those labs in portal 2, just to fuck with chells head;f

Oh I like the little extra detail they added to the wall panels. Did you guys notice the white panels in the far back? They added a kind of weaved texture to it like they’re padded walls… that DOES make sense, I mean with all the flying into the walls you do in those chambers.

Blue, get some new glasses or something

If a company can make shower curtains for the military, they can sure as hell build a futuristic testing complex!

^ You can’t have one without the other.

uh wat

Also, stilll don’t know what this is.

The RC occurred in 1998.

By wat i assume you mean those 2 posts. If so, here you go:

EDIT: dky, according to the article I posted, it was 1998.

Yes you are right… :meh:

I knew it was an even numbered year after '95 and before '00.

I was referring to the weirdness of his logic

The Heimlich Counter-Maneuver – A reliable technique for interrupting the life-saving Heimlich Maneuver.
The Take-A-Wish Foundation – A charitable organization that will purchase wishes from the parents of terminally ill children and redistribute them to wish-deprived but otherwise healthy adults.
“Some kind of rip in the fabric of space…that would…well, it’d be like, I don’t know, something that would help with the shower curtains I guess. I haven’t worked this idea out as much as the wish-taking one.”

;DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

P2 plays centuries after P1. Chell is the last human in Aperture Laboratories. Do you remember those cores at the end of P1? Those are personality cores. They were activated and helped to rebuild Aperture Science

edit: Somebody made a comparison with Portal 2 and Portal, I’ll post it here

Haha… the shower curtains thing was actually on the aperturescience.com viral site since a loong time ago. I wanted to write to Gabe suggesting that Aperture Science shower curtains be made available in the Valve store, but now I guess since everyone knows about it, it wouldn’t be as funny =\

GLaDOS (not GlaDos, :stuck_out_tongue: ) was created as a fuel line pipe deicer. She was created to deice pipes.

It’s ok, leave the poor chap alone. It’s better for him. :frowning:

I like L4D series, but i like Half Life more, and it’s been a looooong time since the last half life(three years).
so, i hope EP3!!!

Is this thread now about next year’s E3? Cause this year’s E3 is, well, you know, errr… well, you know! :3

yeah… e3 2011 speculation starts now!

also… shower curtains?`hmm…

what about rain coats?

also I think he confused normal maps with bump maps (for that parralax effect thingy)

if that is not one of the same.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
