Okay, maybe I was being too specific about my family
My real question: Will this bill raise taxes?
Then don’t fucking post.

I for one support this bill rather heartily, and I’m the only one in my family. Everyone else, my parents, my older sister, etc. are all whining and bitching about how the bill is only going to benefit people who “slack off because they get their insurance from taxpayer money.”
Christ, I’ve never heard my parents sound this fucking ignorant before.
@John: I’m pretty sure it’ll raise the taxes, though I don’t know how much.
And my real point: It’s not that simple.
Same with my family. My sister didn’t even know about the bill until last night when my dad told her “omg deyr gunna help those lazy no good unemploeed fuks”
Okay, he didn’t say it like that, but you get the idea.
ffs
I just want to make sure we (and by “we”, I meant the country as a whole) don’t get into a bigger mess than we are in now, money wise.
Sorry that I didn’t understand.
Well, really, raising taxes (as far as I know) is good for the economy, really, because it keeps our money in our country as we’re paying our own government rather than paying to a private corporation.
Actually it’s even simpler than that, “this mess that we are in, money-wise” is a large deficit, and raising taxes decreases the deficit.
Though a few extra bucks every month, even for every American; it’s still going to take a long time to pay off $3 Trillion.
Okay, I see now. Thanks guys.
It will raise taxes a bit, but in the long run it’s a good investment for everyone.
Trust me, I live in a country where health-care (minus pharmaceuticals, which aren’t that expensive) is 100% paid for by the gov’t. You get a checkup? Gov’t. You need open heart surgery? Gov’t. It works.
And if you ever suddenly lose your job and then get in a car crash or something, you’re covered.
It does work, and it works very well. Which is why I’m confused as to everyone’s hostility towards it.
EDIT: I suppose I shouldn’t say “everyone’s”, but there has been a great deal of negativity toward it.
because obama
the fact that he’s president is literally driving republicans insane
Too many Americans, that’s for sure.
Yes, plus racism is still prevalent, unfortunately.
I felt better when he took out the part about the government paying for abortion. Why would they have to pay for your descision? Imma Demmy btw.
And if you don’t want a pregnancy, use a fucking condom and the pill. Jeez.
“ya, well ur in canada wich is full of a buch o french gay homo commie faggots lol”
Alright, I’m now much more optimistic (of course with a reasonable amount of caution) about the bill than I was before.
I doubt that they’re that naive. I consider this a learning experience for the Dems. They can’t even fall back on the “if we convinced so much as one vote, it was all worth it” PR bullshit, because NO REPUBLICAN VOTED FOR IT!
Now that they know that they don’t need even a single Republican vote, I hope that the Obama Administration doesn’t pull any punches next time they want something done.
Of course, maybe they haven’t learned a damn thing and will continue to the the Republican’s bitch despite being the majority.
:s hrugs: Oh well.
there was never a part about the government paying for abortion, you’ve been hoodwinked
Or death panels.
The Patriots in Metal Gear Solid 2 wanted to control the flow of information using S3 (Selection for Societal Sanity), a complex AI that filters information flow over the internet, to shape “reality” as they see fit.
“Patriots” in the real world, however, use fucking Facebook to shape “reality” as they see fit.
Then you know that federal funding for abortions is already illegal, right?
You know how I know you’re ignorant?
lol
