Things you DON'T want to see in BM.

When I first played HL I thought they were teeth too. But then I relized they were ribs. It’s time you did too scorpion.

They are ribs in HL2, but they use them to chew dead people flesh in HL1. In HL2, however, they appearantly don’t use them for anything in particular, so they’re just… there.

You’re right about that. I’ve seen it.

They are ribs, but maybe the headcrab wants to shove the meat in to the hole to make its host body more sturdy. It’s the only thing that I can come up with that isn’t “because Valve did it”.

It’s meat, and meat = food. The meat gets shoved into the stomach, the zombie digests it, and both the host and the headcrab get nutrients from it.

I don’t want to see the HL2 crosshair.

I think there’s going to be a different crosshair for each weapon, like in Half Life, so you’re in luck.

I hope so

And I also don’t want to see anything of the HL2 HUD!

Use the edit button  And the HUD will be a different one.

I don´t want to see Xen, the way it is in Half Life. Just some floating islands in a vast, empty space.
And, even though I don´t think the devs are doing that anyways, I don´t want to see any hint or sign of the combine.

There won’t be except for what the Nihilanth says (but that was in HL1 so yeah).

I don’t want to see any un-subtle jokes towards how long this is taking. I’m not saying you shouldn’t, but being blatant with long-ass development time jokes would only work with Duke Nukem Forever (Which they’re doing).

I don’t want to see fast throw grenades.

I’m playing through the original Half Life again and Nihilanth’s speaking during those Xen zones still creeps me out. I hope that they have a good voice for Nihilanth in BM. I don’t want to hear something unless it was as creepy as the original…otherwise, just use the original voice.

I do not want to see scientists running to hug the zombies, what always happens in one part scientist who breaks the window and forget the shotgun in his office :expressionless:

aww come on, zombies need love too, now

Sorry bro but we recycled hints, credits, close caption, & chapter message system. However, we did replace everything else.

I don’t want to see anything reused from half-life to to be perfectly honest, half life two was and will always be a bit of a letdown in my eyes, no offense, but there are so many better things they could have done with that game.

like?

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
