The Security Guards and Scientests

No, they can’t use weapons.

That’s pretty much what he said anyway.

Oh. My reply was to ffelix8, I quoted popsUlfr for the reference.

Oh yes…my mistake. I thought they could use pistols sometimes to save their damn lives. That should be added sometimes…this really could make more realism without changing gameplay.

Look at it this way, Scientists are shaky as fuck and even with a gun won’t won’t be able to hit shit.

That’s another story

They can’t hit ANYTHING. Even at POINT BLANK range.

Wut?

Nevermind…

Nothing to see here people, move along.

If a scientist were to use a gun, their aim would be so bad they couldn’t hit their target from an inch away.

Every time a scientist fires, you get injured.

Scientist: “I’m trying to help you!”
Gordon: “STOP HELPING ME!”

Devs said so?

Luckily. I can imagine their bad shooting resulting in lots of friendly fire.

That is clear for me, but i don’t understand where that bullshit about bad aiming came from…which was like the reason why they can’t use them

You are getting all serious about a throw-away comment meant as humor. A joke. Stop being so serious. It’s not fun (not for you, maybe to the trolls  ).

YOu are right. It’s hard to understand if person was joking sometimes…

before teleporting to Xen in that room where you get all the weapons there’s a scientist and a security guard, that scientist has a shotgun…

I remember that part. I was like “holy shit! This scientist will kick some ass too…” but after reloading he put that shotgun back :frowning:

…because he saw it wasn’t an alien, just Gordon.

I personally want Security Guards and Scientists have regenerating health, like the Rebels and other friendly NPCs in HL2? I always hated how they would get hit once during a fight, and then spend the rest of their life waiting to get hit and easily die. I’m also not sure if Scis can heal Guards like they can the players, but I think one of the devs said something on that topic.
