Fuck. You. 26 kills, 3 times as many as most people can get as other classes. What did I use? Flanking. Timing. Skill. But he is still the absolute most under-powered class in the game.
I get it, he gets unbanned on christmas.
As a pro scoot, I know that skill beats ALL. Except few lucks and gay situations, but yeah.
Literally homosexual situations?
Well you know, bunch of big, buff men fighting it out on the battle field can get distracting to some, mess up their game even.
So…what exactly is supposed to be impressive about that video, the fact that you didn’t die? All I saw was you running around with a backburner and flaregun for 9 minutes. Its not hard to get a high kill streak when you avoid confrontation and constantly heal. Remember, TF2 is not deathmatch.
As someone who plays a lot of pyro I can tell you if you really think he’s is underpowered, you are playing him wrong. Degreaser+axtinguisher FTW…oh and learn to airblast/reflect, pryos can do a lot more than W+M1.
come at me bro
I use the default flamethrower + detonator + homewrecker, i tried to use the backburner but it costs 50 ammo to use the airblast, which i use a lot.
Try to use degreaser + shotgun + axtinguisher/powerjack. If the ennemy come from your front, fire him, do 2-3 airblast and finish him with the shotgun in the air or in melee if he have landed first. This is absolutly unstoppable (my first post wooot!!)
Welcome to the forums.
To fellow pyros: the faster weapon switch for the degreaser is well worth the decrease in damage. Switching to axtinguisher and criting your victim more than makes up for the difference in damage. In close encounters one can easily drop heavies single-handedly, and get away without much damage. I also tend to prefer the shotgun in case of enemy pyro encounters, but flare crits are excellent and especially help with long range encounters. Also, ever since they changed the distance requirement for flare crits the flare gun has become more useful.
Backburner is just a waste IMO. They may have (unnecessarily) added airblast, but it uses too much ammo. Airlbast is invaluable, IMO the most important tool in the pyro’s arsenal. The backburner’s increased damage is only necessary in certain situations, like ambushing LARGE groups of people when it is difficult to take them out one at a time. Generally, depending on classes, one can efficiently ambush and drop a group of 3 enemies with degreaser+axtinguisher combos.
Pyro is one of the most powerful classes in the game when played correctly, one just has to be smart and know when to use which tactic.
Usually when I play TF2, I try to play as a class no one else really wants to be. (Usually Medic for some reason) and try to win that way. Most of the time I completely fail but DAMMIT I’M TRYING.
If you’re Medic you should insta-win. Most useful class in every game.
Agreed, medics are invaluable. I love my medics, they are a definite credit to the team. Unfortunately one of the less glamorous, but vital classes.
GUYS BLACK MESA WILL BE RELEASED ON CHRISTMAS :retard:
A team with a medic and an other team without medic makes the difference… how many time I claimed “MEDIIIIIIIIC” whereas I see 20 minutes later I haven’t got heal… Just no medic lol. Only 1 ubercharge can reverse the advantage of a team, so medic is essential for the victory.
Medics makes of well comrade with periods in combat and war strife.
Yeah, although I don’t really enjoy playing medic, when I feel like winning I’ll bite the bullet and do it. Most of the time it results in a victory, even though it’s not really one of my best classes. It can be pretty frustrating though when I decide to play medic and then I realize my team isn’t worth healing, or at least there’s no one worth ubering. In that case I just sigh and dick around as spy or sniper until a scramble.
Tried medic after not playing for a few months, BAM, got more than 9000 heal points in one life.
I hate playing as the Medic. So many whiny bastards who don’t even need to be healed constantly spamming the ‘E’ button. MEDICMEDICMEDICMEDICMEDICMEDICMEDICMEDICMEDICMEDICMEDICMEDICMEDICMEDICMEDICMEDICMEDICMEDICMEDICMEDIC
