And get used to it. Your ear blocks it out. I can usually get rid of background noises from my head pretty quick, and I think I’m a decent medic.
Some very contradictive words…
Not necessarily. True, Snipers easy to handle, but it does take some practice with timing (especially with Huntsman) and aim to be able to pull off headshots.
My one problem with the sniper right now is the Sydney Sleeper. I hate its Jarate special effect.
Well, after TF2 went free, I decided to give it another go, and I saw a sniper keep sniping while a spy kept knifing in front of him. Sniping requires small amount of skill, but c’mon, most of the “skill” required is quick reflex and ability to take out your machete and slice spies in half.
I’ve tried playing the classes i don’t often play, like soldier, heavy and medic. I topped the scoreboard every single time. Of course, if i can melee kill even heavies as a medic, it usually means that the other players just aren’t paying attention.
I don’t like the hate people are giving the medic. Medic is my strongest class, and a lot of fun to play as both offensively and in a support role.
Its not that I hate the Medic, its just that I hate playing as the Medic.
I default to medic I like it a lot.
I just played on a team that was carried by a pair of Medics that were chain ubering each other. After a few rounds we just kind of let them do their thing and we only backed them up. Pretty awesome skills really.
Have you ever tried sniping headshots long range in a match before? Unless someones idle on the battlefield, or it’s a Heavy shooting and walking slowly, it’s pretty hard for someone who’s not a Sniper veteran.
I have good sir, I was quite good with sniper (and scout) when I was playing like crazy.
Exactly, but in order to be that good you have to work up the skill to do it well. Now this might not be as big of a problem for PC gaming veterans, but to a lot of people (myself included) being Sniper isn’t HARD, it’s just hard to be really good at it, for example, constantly getting headshots.
You got a point there.
Oh, this thread had me rolling with laughter.
I primarily play as the engineer, I love the class. And the OP is right: I am a total n00b, have no skill at all.
Then again, my K/D rate is atrocious. I’m not as good as I’d like to be and my stuff gets destroyed by spies every time I turn around to get more metal.
And sometimes I have a lucky streak and my turret is unstoppable.
It has been a while since I last played TF2 though, way before the game was released for free and the whole hats craze.
I don’t know, the unbalance…ness makes the game more fun to me tbh.
There are a lot of people in this thread who don’t know what they’re talking about.
That is all.
New question, what class does everyone here think requires the most skill to play well? I’m leaning towards scout, any other opinions?
Spy?
I agree 100%. Anyone can play spy, but it takes skill to play spy effectively.
