TF2 Mann-Conomy Update: Thoughts, Recipes, and New Items

That isn’t true. You can’t buy advantages, cause the weapons have disadvantages too :hmph:

Some of the packs have only advantages.

The biggest disapointment is this duel-mini game, which I thought will be for free and for everyone to have. Well, it’s not, it costs 0.99$ and you can use it only 5 times…

I didn’t really liked the idea of the games that require you to pay money to play it after you already paid for them. See now there is no possibility to gain everything that game offers without spending money. Old games werent like that.

Yes they do. That’s why they do it.

You can find them. Even the minigame… So it doesn’t to require money to play them

Alright, let it be. Works for me.

Btw, this new Black Box rocket launcher for soldier kicks ass. But I’m just wondering, since so many classes are gaining abilities to heal themselves (like Black Box) or others (Scout’s milk) they must prepare something really special for medic. Otherwise he’ll be left alone as an ubercharge guy only.

Ubercharge in itself is a good reason to get Medics.

Perhaps but they already seem pretty unpopular, when I join a game there’s hardly ever a medic already in play (plenty of snipers though).

Didn’t that happen often before the update anyway?

i love playing as medic, mostly because i’m usually tired as hell or off my ass on something and i just have to run around and im doing great

I’d like to try the update out, but all my gun noises are missing with CS: S and TF2. I wish I knew why, because I have reinstalled them maybe 3 times now.

Lol yeah. Medics have never been very popular as long as I’ve played. I personally hate to play medic (the only class I don’t like) but if we’re getting our asses kicked I’ll switch. Being a medic helps a lot if you’ve already got a fairly competent team, or even just a good heavy. But nothing will help a completely inept or stacked-against team, which is why a lot of people (myself included sometimes), when they see that their team is losing hopelessly will switch to sniper or spy or something, so they’ll just dick around until a scramble or enough people ragequit so the teams get a little mixed up.

Of course, there are some people who just play whatever they want to play because they want to play that and don’t care much about winning, so sometimes you get unnecessarily large groups of one class. I try not to get mad at them, because everyone should be able to play to have fun, but still, sometimes I can’t help it, I mean it is Team Fortress 2, not Do Whatever You Want Fortress 2 or Free for All Fortress 2. I just wish more pub players would attempt to complete the objective and strategize instead of just trying to kill the other team. I know some of them just aren’t very good and that’s okay, but those that at least try to be team players are much more helpful.

Good: Added a boatload of new weapons. Provided a shop where people can spend money if they want something right then and there. Lots of things to choose from.
Bad: Keys. Dammit. You find a neat package… and you have to pay money to open it. Reminds of some F2P games. Combat Arms and Dungeon Fighter Online all over again. :C

TF2: VALVe’s WoW.

Hurr hurr trying things other than generic fps stuff makes it an mmo hurr.

Goddamn benefit-only items. I have never seen anything like that go well in any game ever. Hell, doesn’t matter if you can get them without paying. It still means the veterans will have a leg up on the newbies beyond what’s normal. This game is getting more and more needlessly complicated, and even I was confused playing recently.

But seriously, he’s kinda right.
now in every game i get to hear “who wants to trade?”:freeman:

Sure, the pack itself.

But suddenly you have all of the disadvantages of all of the weapons that you must use to get that measly health upgrade or whatever.

Like the sniper. Once you have everything, you are immune to headshots. However, since you’re using the Sydney Sleeper, you can’t get headshots either. Also you have no Jarate, you just have a few extra health points. You are weaker to fire because of the Bushwacka.

Also you look like a crocodile

Therefore MMO? Really? MMOs have a whole lot more than trading.
