Steam Summer Sale 2012

Yeah, in my opinion, Bastion is up there around Limbo and Braid as one of the must-play indies. I think its main selling point is its narrator, though it has plenty of other things going for it.

I absolutely recommend you guys to buy The Walking Dead. It’s easily got much better writing and characters than the TV show and as a game itself, it’s a really good graphical adventure.

So I’m starting to think about getting that Serious Sam 3 that’s on sale now. Do I need to play any of the other ones? I think the description says it’s a prequel. It looks really fun.

The games are comically lacking in story (but they don’t need one). You can jump right in and have a fuckin’ blast without knowing anything about it.

Okay I got it. Looking forward to over the top violence and gore and w+m1 shooting.

+1

I bought it for me and a friend. It’s supposed to be a great adventure adaption of the comic.

Just got Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition for $12.45.
Loved Fallout 3, so this seemed like a no-brainer.

Do you guys recommend playing Fallout 3 first, or can I go straight to New Vegas and skip Fallout 3?

Vote for Beyond Good and Evil please  .

They’re not really related story-wise.

They’re not related plot wise, so you can play them in any order you want.

edit: :ninja:

Oh damn, earlier I dismissed the alice advert while it was -75% because it looked bad. Now I investigated more and it looks fun. At -50%…oh well.

Syberia 1 and 2 are -75% … has anyone played them?

I’m playing Syberia 1 right now and it’s one of the best point and click I’ve ever played. And apparently the sequel is as good.

I’d wait to play it until it all comes out though. It is very, very good, which makes waiting between episodes tough.

I\m going to wait to buy it until it all comes out.

I read good reviews and have seen some gameplay footage, but as a rule I’m not grabbing any episodic series until it’s complete (or at least one season of it, is). Only exception to that was Half Life, and I think that that barely counts for myriads of reasons

Metro 2033 is on sale for $5 today. I got it off of Amazon for the same price ages ago and found it to be extremely engaging. Beautiful graphics, good story, and interesting gameplay design such as using your watch, pressure gauges, etc instead of a traditional HUD. Pick it up if you like sneaky, semi scary, story based games.

Kairouseki what is so good about Beyond Good and Evil? I’ve heard good things about it but I don’t know anything about it.

Fuck you and your sales Steam. It’s not like I don’t already have too many games that I don’t have enough time to play. sigh Hm, Max payne 3 50% off and Walking Dead 40% off… You bastards!

I’ve spent only 15€ so far. Take that, Steam!

Rage for 9.99$. y/n ?
