Steam Summer Sale 2012

I’ve never played it but I always hear good things about it.

Fear 3 and/or Amnesia: Dark Descent for $5, y/n? I’ve already decided to get Metro33. That looks pretty awesome. I also wish that Revelations was 75% off already. :expressionless: The new one is only a few months away.

Amnesia yes. I don’t know about FEAR 3, I heard neither of the sequels were as good as the original.

I’ve only played the first level of FEAR 3 but I can say the gunplay feels MUCH better than FEAR 2.
I never finished FEAR 2. I’ll go through it and finish it just to say I did before I go through FEAR 3.

Fear 3 has several great levels and several not-so-great levels. I’d say it’s well worth a fiver.

Assassin’s Creed 2 or Fallout 3 GOTY?

Tough choice but I’d go with AC2, as I find it more immediately enjoyable.

I’d go with Fallout 3 simply because I got more enjoyment out of it than AC2. Both are worth it, IMO.

How well does Dead Rising 2: Off The Record run? I’ve been meaning to get it, if it runs well on PC, that may make up my mind :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyone who didn’t get this does not know how big of a mistake they made. Awesome game, was actually just thinking about playing through both of them again for the third/fourth time.

EDIT: and as someone who loves Oblivion and Skyrim to pieces, I would recommend AC over fallout. I never could get into fallout for whatever reason.

So I bought Fear on the sale, and I configured everything to maximum and am using 4x SSAA. I ran the benchmark and it was a smooth 60 fps but when I get into the game it’s only running at 30 fps. It looks locked at it too. I’m going to try using D3Doverrider instead of the in game vsync but I don’t know if that’ll help or not. Anyone know what’s wrong?

Edit: That… actually worked… weird…

to add my input between Fallout vs AC2, i’d go with Fallout, i enjoyed both games, but AC2 i got super annoied with cause movement in the game felt pretty clunky with mouse/keyboard. and seeing as movement is one of the most important aspects of the game. Fallout i thought was pretty fun though i didnt get as invested into the story, i just kinda ran around and did stuff. Mods are a plus as well for fallout. As i said though, i did enjoy both games, neither of them are bad by any means.

The voting is getting kind of useless. Haven’t both Arkham City and Witcher 2 been on sale multiple times already?

Skyrim 50% off y/n? Or should I wait for a 75% off later in the week?

Skyrim is a y under any circumstance.

^^This^^

Yes!

Skyrim is not avilable in europe right now or in Poland at least… WTF

Well I just bought Crysis, Crysis Warhead and Crysis 2 for under $20. Just started Crysis and am finding it thoroughly enjoyable. I’m playing it entirely in stealth, trying to avoid messy gun fights, but it’s great having a world which accommodates both styles of play. I would highly recommend these games to any FPS fan. Also, don’t worry about the graphics. I can play it on my 2-year-old iMac running Windows 7 in Bootcamp, so I’m sure you’ll be fine.

Whew!!!.. was just able to get Crysis Pack before sale ended… major server problems. Had to keep reloading and reloading… had to go thru PayPal transaction 3 times, though it managed to not charge me for 3 purchases. whew, again!

Maybe vALVE bit off more than they could chew with some of these deals. Bastards are going to bring down the whole friggin’ interwebs!

Already had Crysis 1, but at $17 for the bundle, what the hell… plus I do not need to install from DVD if I play that again…

Should I play Warhead first, or Crysis 2? And is Warhead pretty short, compared to Crysis 1?

Damnit, so I missed Crysis?
I don’t even have a PC which can play these games yet, but I’m stocking up for next month when I buy one.

I picked up Skyrim for £19. All the DOW2 games for £12.
I was tempted to get Metro2033, but decided against it. Though I would have certainly bought Crysis if I saw it on sale.

…wait…what?..Metro2033 is now down to €2,49?
HOW CAN I NOT BUY IT?
