I went by the FAQ in the wiki to see if it differed from the forum FAQ. The thing about easter eggs made me wonder… what easter eggs where there in half-life 1? I can’t recall any.
Hm, I think those books in Gordon’s locker is one eggs, real books made by Marc something

in the same location as the other easter egg, some of the names on the lockers are real dev’s names.
Gabe has his own office in black mesa.
In “Lambda Core”, near the tower with the portals, there is a dead scientist on the floor of an office. Written in blood on the floor are the numbers 2-4-7.

The Orchid Eater The 37th Mandala, books written in 1994 and 1996 by book author and now Valve game designer, Marc Laidlaw.
They are stacked in Gordon’s Locker in the beggining of the game in the H.E.V.Suit/locker room next to a picture of a framed “Baby photograph”.
I seem to recall something about a chumtoad?

One time I found chumtoads lair. I seem to remember swimming to the very bottom of a deep pool on Xen, where i found a hole which i went through to find the lair. But now when I tried again I cant find the hole!!! I just drown at the bottom trying to find it!

I remember there being a ridiculous number of hidden goodies that can be found by investigating out of the way vents.
You actually have to find a crack and break it open.

I dunno if what he said is true or not, but I do know that the 2-4-7 is actually there to help you pass the teleporter puzzle, you have to jump in portals 2 4 and 7 in that order.
BTW when I saw this thread yesterday, I wanted to post “in b4 noobs post blue-shift easter eggs” but then I thought you guys weren’t that stupid… True story.
That might be intentional, but it was probably because 2-4-7 was the order you had to go through he portals to get to the top of the reactor.

I didn’t know about Gabe’s office, and I totally forgot about the dev’s locker names when I made this thread.
