This is in a tunnel under a stairwell in “On a Rail”. I noticed it a few years ago when I first started playing. Has anyone else ever noticed it?
I’ve never seen it before.
Does it just say “RILLER”?
Yep, saw it before but never found out what its purpose or reasoning for being there was. Perhaps a disgruntled developer?
And then there are the sightings of gman throughout. But I wont spoil it for you by showing you the gman sightings page. yall gotta say it.
Yeah, that’s what it says…not a dev I don’t think, just randomness.
Easter Egg!! Well, I didn’t discover till a few playthroughs ago…kinda funny.
[COLOR=‘Black’]No! Stay back! Gordon! -falls- aaaaaaaaaah
^ highlight dis line fo spoiler, if ya didn’t see it before.
No offense, but everyone knows that one.
easiest easter egg to access ever…
Yeah, but I didn’t know about that “RILLER” thing… plays hl
:U it’s off the main route…it counts I think.
I’ve never seen the RILLER one, but then again I don’t mindlessy check under ledges when I play.
Hmmm, got me thinking now… I wonder if there are any easter eggs in that weird rock cave levelin surface tension, the one with a tentacle, the stormwater drain, minefield and caves all around.
IVE NEVER SEEN THAT! D:
Where!?
I have known about the riller one for about a year now, when I first found it I was like wtf!

It would seem he is a developer, but I cant find anything on “Why” he put that there. Other than the obvious “hehe I wanna put my name in an unusual place so that I am a part of history and it is my secret!”
Hmmm… I’ve crawled around in that part on my every single playthrough, but I’ve neverer seen it before. Source only?
Actually, I didn’t go back through that door and see it until years after first playing.
Yesterday
My sarcasm radar is going off :meh:
but if you really want to know…when you get back to the main Anomalous Materials lobby (back when you first got off the train), hit the button that would let you through the door leading back to the tram with your crowbar. It opens the door slightly, go through, BAM.
I’m almost certain that it is also in the original Half-Life, because I’m pretty sure that I noticed it in my second play-through years ago. It is hard to see though, so I would understand why you didn’t see it. That’s why I took a screenshot at such an intense angle, because it is barely visible straight on.
It wasn’t sarcasm.
Now that you say it, I think I’ve seen it sometime before…
