And that’s one of the main reasons why I’ve choosen to become vegan. Not only because the methods are cruel and barbarous, but the fact that so much of it is produced so senseless because it’s getting thrown away unused. I know that’s not only a problem in the meat, egg and milk industry, it’s everywhere in our society - food, technology, clothes… So much stuff gets thrown away, often without being used only once. I get most of my vegetables and also furniture out of trash containers behind super markets, and it’s often as good as the stuff in the shelves. You may have to wash it and remove some parts but I haven’t died in all those years
But I have to admit, just as danielsangeo said, the human is an omnivore. Many vegans I know keep telling me it’s against nature for humans to eat meat, the human teeth are not made for eating meat and bla bla bla. I always say if it’s unnatural, why the hell did the cave men eat mammoths and stuff. For me, it are just the production methods I don’t want to support.
