Sad tiem):

Most Animal Farms look like this:

You are delusional if you believe that most animals in the meat industry are treated humanely.

Yeah those advertisements where animals like cows roam across nice large lands of grass sure look nice don’t they. I bet children believe that’s how it goes.

Lol, it’s honestly pretty funny that people think animals on meat farms are treated nicely.

However, I know for a fact that the video only shows a few farms out of hundreds or thousands, the farms shown in the video must be the extreme low. I like eating meat, I like how it tastes, especially with gravy =). I know that if I stopped eating meat, it would do nothing to stop any one the abusive farms, the only people who can stop that are the government or the owners of the farms.

This, you would never see them being butchered like this here.

but dont you know, if one person stops eating meat it makes such a giant difference in the conditions of factory farms!!! thats why theyre so good now!

I have actually worked on a couple meat producing farms. While I wouldn’t say that animals are treated ‘nice’, they weren’t treated nearly the way they show in some of the more disturbing vids.

However, I worked on smaller farms. I’m betting larger more industrialized farms are closer to that than we like to think about.

I have relatives that have chicken farms and pork farms. With my own eyes I did not see such stuff.

Pass the pork chops please?

farm != industrial meat producing

and i fucking hate the attitude of “one person makes no difference”
news flash: it’s not just one person

meat production actually has declined as a result of less meat consumption (i.e. vegetarians + people who eat a reasonable amount of meat instead of huge amounts like most people)

lmao obviously if this is still going on all those people haven’t made much of a difference.

bro if you keep bitching about factory farms im going to spend an entire paycheck on steaks and throw them out. it’s so annoying that i will literally waste money to spite everyone like you.

I do think that the handling of livestock should be regulated, and I’m also sure that there are quite a lot of major producers of meat that do not follow such guidelines. This will not stop me from eating meat though. I enjoy meat, and it is natural for humans to consume meat as part of their diet. I will not stop because someone feels I should feel guilty about this, or the cruelty of large producers.

If you ask me to support legislation for proper handling of livestock, I would agree. If you suggest funding for research towards synthetic meat I would agree. Just don’t ask me to give up meat or feel guilty about eating meat.

It’s all I have to say.

I have two quotes, one humorous, one serious:

“If God hadn’t intended us to eat other animals, why did he make them out of meat?”
“If God hadn’t intended us to eat other animals, why did he make us omnivores?”

they have though

all i’m saying is don’t eat meat like there’s no tomorrow

eat within healthy limits and thats enough (i.e. not a 2 pound steak every day)

go right ahead though

The real question is:

Would you give a fuck if it were humans being processed to food this way? Why would you, or why not? Same thing, different animal.

Like battlefield, kill or be killed.

If you don’t eat, you aren’t gonna live.

Simple. Eating humans is not conducive to the continuation of the species.

Tell that to all the fatties who die before retirement because of cancers. Everywhere where processed junk is being eaten the amount of people that die from cancers or heart disease skyrocket.

I think in order to stop the cruel shit going on in industrial farms and other problems like overcrowding we need to lower the human population, I have three solutions:

  1. Everyone goes gay.

  2. War, famine all that good stuff.

  3. Selective breeding, that mean only the privlaged can have sexy time as from birth kids are castrated/nutered.

Personally I like 3.
