PSP2 Announcement

I’m not saying its a good feature for the Psp2, I’m just saying its kinda what I expected. And the lower resolution just means that the hardware doesn’t need to be as strong to produce equivalent graphics. If you’ve seen 3DS screen shots you should have expected at least this much from Sony’s competitor.

Over all the PS3 like graphics to me are both the least surprising and interesting aspects of the system.

You’re right.

Two fucking analog sticks. Let’s FUCKING GO!

Maybe if I have a spare $700 to waste…
In other words, no thanks.

Who the fuck said it was 700 dollars?

sold. Again.

Apparently it’s going to have proprietary storage which is a bit gay.

you’re an idiot. do you realize the amount of power the ps3 consumes and what size cooler it requires to avoid self-combusting? now picture sony fitting that into a passive cooled battery powered pocket device… come back when you thought about it for a while

You don’t even need to know such things, you just need to look at the size of it. That’s all. It is a technological achievement, I don’t care what anyone says. You don’t even need to want to buy one to understand that.

It helps when they’re using hardware specifically made for portable devices. The PSP2 is basically using the exact same hardware as the iPhone 4 but with quad-core specs for both CPU and GPU.

It’s not like Sony would suddenly find a way to literally miniaturize the PS3 hardware.

Progression of technology is not the most important part of a portable gaming device. General design is much more important to me. It is also quite a big piece of hardware for it having it. As a technological feat it is impressive, for the product I don’t give a shit.

I really understand what you mean, sersoft, but after playing with it myself, i really don’t know what to tell you.
How did they pull it off? I have no idea. I couldn’t tell you in words how matched they were to the PS3 (which, for a handheld, is amazing), but i know what i saw.
So at least i know what to expect, when it hits U.S store shelves.

Edit: Take a look at the vid Xalander posted, if thats the kind of power that the PSP2. I was amazed that they were able to move a game that was originally made for the PS3 to the PSP2 in a week. A goddamn week.

so like you tape 4 iphone mainboards together and you get an NGP? brb trying it at home

Steve Jobs taped 4 iPod touches and got an iPad so it should. You are probably gonna need to tape a psp to that just as a safe measure. I’m currently working on Taping a Virtual Boy to a Nintedo DS to procure a 3DS.

all this taping reminds me of this

Faster then my computer…

Well, isn’t the Memory Stick Pro Sony’s proprietary storage device already? I don’t see an issue with that, as the past few generations of consoles have had their own proprietary storage units. What’s so different about a handheld?

btw, I’m shooting for the 3DS when it comes out. I’d much rather stick with Nintendo’s first party titles anyways, as I don’t need one more handheld from the same generation.

^Epic sig, my friend.

The memory stick is used in most of sony’s devices and almost all USB card readers have a MS slot, if they are using a proprietary storage device is for revenge for what happened to the original PSP (people hacked the shit out of it).

I agree with this honestly.

This is why it’s shitty. How will I custom firmware ;_;

ok i bet it will come a little big planet game for this one!
